Located in Chiang Mai, Th ailand, Grace International School was created to provide a high quality and aff ordable Christian education for the children of international workers located in Southeast Asia. Our primary goal at GIS is allowing these families to continue working in their fi elds without compromising the education of their children.

In addition to off ering a traditional Christian day-school experience, we are committed to providing additional services to support both students with special needs and homeschooling families.

We off er a strong education where biblical truth permeates all subjects and programs. Our staff seek to demonstrate how diverse subjects inter-relate, helping GIS students apply knowledge and skills to all areas of life and live out their Christian faith.

Ultimately, we aim to cultivate students of Christ-like character and values who will transform their world.

Th e non-Th ai faculty and staff at GIS serve at Grace by raising their own support in order to keep tuition costs aff ordable. Th e result is a dedicated team committed to providing students with an outstanding education from a Christian perspective.

Th e school is located in a suburban area southwest of Chiang Mai, Th ailand, nestled in the scenic Ping River valley at the foot of Doi Suthep Mountain. With an international airport, rail and bus lines, and major highway routes, Chiang Mai is well-connected with the rest of Southeast Asia and the world.

Th e entire school leadership and staff have lived the type of lives that did the hard work, showed up to move the school forward. Th ose servant lives have instilled confi dence and purpose in the entire school community, enhancing the school’s reputation for excellence and opening the door for ministry that may not have opened in any other way. Th eir hearts, attitudes and eff orts are a testimony to the mission of the school and its Christ-honoring focus.

Parents and students agreed and strongly agreed that GIS provides high quality education and curriculum that addresses the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and social well-being of the students. Stakeholders including parents, students, and faculty were very pleased with the level of education off ered by GIS and enjoyed the extra-curricular opportunities available.

Parents expressed a willingness to move and make major sacrifi ces to keep their students enrolled at GIS because they highly valued the GIS education and experience. Students frequently expressed that they love the GIS community and believe they are receiving a high-quality educational experience, which will allow them to be successful in future endeavors.

GIS teachers and staff provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for teaching and learning. Th ey clearly serve out of love for the students and a clear calling from God to go above and beyond to make students universally feel loved and cared for. Emblematic in this expression is the staff ’s willingness to raise their own support and self-fund their presence at GIS, creating a culture of sacrifi cial service, recognized and appreciated by GIS parents and students alike. Students and parents frequently noted that one of their favorite things about GIS was the care that the teachers showed the students.

GIS has committed itself to the support of families and students with special needs. Th e GIS Educational Support team does an outstanding job of processing student referrals and assessing their needs. Th e school has a strong reputation in the area of being a place that is available to serve all students and help meet their individual needs.
