The Rain Cloud

One sunny, summer morning

(Make big circle overhead for sun)

A fluffy cloud sailed by.

(Make waving motions with hands)

When all at once he saw a field

(Shade eyes, look down)

That really did look dry.

(Nod)

“All out!” he cried, “There’s work to do.”

(Cup hand to mouth)

And stopped right in the sky.

(Stand still)

A million raindrop passengers

(Make rain motion with fingers)

Jumped out and called, “Good-bye!”

(Cup hand to mouth, call upward)

Here is a great one for transitions:

Summer Clothing

Tune: The Farmer in the Dell

Oh, if you are wearing shorts,

If you are wearing shorts,

You may walk right to the door,

If you are wearing shorts.

(include: sandals, sundress, ball cap,

Sneakers, etc)

Playground Song Tune: Row, Row, Row, your Boat Pump, pump, pump the swing, pump the swing so high. You pump so high You touch the sky Then down you come again. Climb, climb, climb the bar, Climb the bar so high. You climb so high you touch the sky Then down you climb again. Ride, ride, ride your trike, around the yard again. You ride so fast you’re back at last Then around you go again.

I’m a Little Firework

Tune: I’m a Little Teapot

I'm a little firework

Up in the sky.

I dance and I shimmer

Way up, up high.

Sometimes I'm red.

Sometimes I'm blue.

But I always sparkle

Just for you.

I'm a little firework

Up in the sky.

I dance and I shimmer

Way up, up high

Five Little Bees

-One little bee flew and flew.

He met a friend, and that made two.

-Two little bees, busy as could be

Along came another and that made three.

-Three little bees, wanted one more,

Found a friend and that made four.

-Four little bees, going to the hive.

Spied their little brother, and that made five.

-Five little bees working every hour

Buzz away, bees, and find another flower.
