THE RIGHT TRIKE

Why it is important to find the right trike.

Quest 88 takes all of it’s experience from it’s child development and

early intervention products and channels it into the design of it’s

tricycles. There is more to our tricycles than meets the eye!

In essence this means that we don’t compromise on posture, we promote moderately challenging exercise that works the lower muscle groups and assists with physical development. Quest 88 carefully consider every part of the tricycle frame. The key datum points on our tricycles are arranged in such a way to provide good sitting posture, freedom to pedal efficiently and promote good use of arms and shoulders.

Quest 88 provide solutions for children who require easy gearing and parental steering, but there is no substitute for training and patience to unlock a child’s potential. Your child may pedal straight away or not. Elliot in the picture right has progressed over several weeks from being pulled along by mum or dad, to pedalling and steering independently. It is a continuing journey of discovery and reward for

both Elliot and his parents.

Quest 88 fixed drive tricycles are designed so that as the drive wheel rotates the pedals and vice-versa. This creates added momentum which assists pedalling and is beneficial to children with low muscle tone and strength; ideal for children with Cerebral Palsy

The Kitten is the smallest Quest 88 tricycle, suiting children from the age of 2 to approximately 5 years.

The Kitten tricycle provides symmetrical exercise from a early age and is ideal for pre/post operation mobility and muscle development.

The Kitten tricycle has a two piece frame which can be dismantled for ease of storage and transportation.

The Colt tricycle is Quest 88’s most popular tricycle. It is designed for boys and girls ages 4 to 7 years.

The Colt tricycle frame is welded rather than the traditional method of brazing to give extra durability and has a two piece frame which

can be dismantled for ease of storage and transportation.

The accessory range is extensive and includes body supports, footplates, orthoses (calf supports) and basically everything you need

to support and encourage your child.

It’s ‘Access Girls Only’ with the Carousel tricycle. This edition of the Colt tricycle suits girls from the age of 4 to approximately 7 years. The example shown is the Carousel with handlebar streamers, wheel discs, hip and thoracic support and full body harness.

The Carousel tricycle has a two piece frame which can be dismantled for ease of storage and transportation and comes as standard with saddlebag, colour coordinated chainguard and handlebar streamers. This is a fixed drive tricycle. In simple terms this means that when the pedals rotate the drive wheel rotates and visa-versa. This creates added momentum that assists with pedalling, which is beneficial to children with low muscle tone and strength.

Panther 20inEXCELLENT HANDLING

The Panther tricycle is extremely robust and stable and is the largest of our split frame tricycles.

The frame is designed to encourage good posture and an efficient pedalling action. The Panther tricycle suits boys and girls from the

age of 7 to approximately 12 years.

Neon 16in & 20in

The Neon tricycle is a great choice for children aged four to twelve years.

The Neon has a low centre of gravity and a low, stable riding position. Available in two sizes, each frame can be extended using telescopic tubes, therefore prolonging the tricycles useful life. It is also possible to install an electronic hub motor with pedal sensors which can assist children with less strength. Support accessories include back supports, footplates and splints to control the child’s ankle/foot relationship. The Neon tricycle can be fitted with a parental rear steer handle which can be fitted with brake lever or gear controls.

Laser 16in,& 20in BALANCE TRAINING

The Laser is a two wheel bicycle with a dynamic stabiliser system, allowing the child to explore and develop their balance reactions in a safe way. The Laser is also a suitable choice for those children who may progress to riding a mainstream bicycle as they get older. The Laser bicycle has an extendable frame allowing it to be used for a

number of years. It can be adapted for children with many different requirements through the use of various support accessories. The Laser tricycle can be fitted with a parental rear steer handle which

can be fitted with brake lever or gear controls.

Eclipse 20in

The Eclipse tricycle is the natural progression from the

Panther, Neon 20 and Laser 20 tricycles. It is very stable

tricycle with a low access threshold and a low centre of

gravity. The Eclipse is easy to steer and maintains its course

when braking.

The Eclipse is available in several gear formats; from a basic

fixed wheel tricycle with V brake through to a 7 speed version

with back pedal brake and hydraulic brakes.

The Eclipse can be adapted with an array of support

accessories to accommodate those with moderate to severe

physical disabilities.
