Introduction

Capsicum =Greek word ‘kapto’ meaning “to bite” or “to swallow”.

Common name: hot pepper, sweet pepper, bell pepper,

Shimla mirch, paprika. Etc.

Almost 400 types of chilli's are grown through out the world.

Chilli is one of the most valuable crops of India.

It is also used for vegetables, spices, condiments, sauces and pickles. Dry chillies are

used for curry powder.

Uses and benefits of Chilli
