Dear Class of ‘73,
I am so happy so many of you could join us for our 40th reunion. Where did 40 years go? It seems like just yesterday we were sitting in Mr. Drone’s class focusing on our physiques . . . oh I mean physics. I should have paid more attention in English class.
I must give special thanks to our classmates who worked so hard to put this reunion together; Joe McGrath, John Mayer, Chuck Ruffing, Cathy Rusch and Kathy Tasch. Despite their efforts, technology and social media, we just couldn’t locate some classmates and we could not convince some others to join us this time. And a few have passed on since the last reunion. Tonight, let’s celebrate them all. So kick start your memory-mobile and let’s ride together down reminisce road. After 40 years, our physics may have changed . . . oh this time I do mean physiques . . . but our friendships and special bonds haven’t.

move with my multiple military and civilian relocations, and provide an inherent independence to maintain our home and children during times of multiple combat and humanitarian deployments in my 35 years of military service as an Army Field Artillery Of ficer.

MBA-University Phoenix, June 2012 wedding to Dan Berger (IT), new position Marketing & Administration. Lois & I did not start our own family until later as a result of multiple relocations and initial move to Fort Riley Kansas as a Lieutenant following Graduation in
Geology from UW-Oshkosh. Retired as Lt. Colonel in 2012.
Special Interests Hobbies: I continue to have a love of hunting, fishing, outdoors, running, hiking & exploring. I have run 8 full
marathons with 4 of those for Cancer Research with Fred’s Team International. These took me above the Artic Circle to Tromso
Norway ‘98 (midnight marathon), Paris France ‘95, Boston 2001 and NY City Marathons ‘92. I have done taxidermy for over 30 years. I love writing, genealogy, history, process & project management, art appreciation & photography.
Most Memorable High School Experience: As I look back, my experience at Chilton High was so fruitful and full of life lessons that I can hardly pick just one, with the exception of meeting the Love of my life in my lovely bride Lois. Most of this class remembers
Lois. We practically raised each other and could always be found in the halls and gymnasium cuddled together or walking the river
park on a sunny lunch break. It was love at first sight. She has provided love and support through all the ups and downs, sacrifices and rewards of our family. Aside from that I recall very fond memories of; Drama & HS plays, Wrestling & carrying that darn mat up
and down stairs for meets, workouts in that sweat box beneath the swimming pool, Football Games in the cool autumn nights, Dances, Wells!, Plating Company & Water/Snowfights to relieve some stress energy, very special friends (all of them), friendly class
mates, some really great & inspiring teachers that molded our aspirations, my first car, and the list goes on. Oh, I forgot, you said the most memorable. The most memorable was the TOTAL POSITIVE EXPERIENCE! I guess that sums it up!! I hope all look
forward to these reunions. It is part of our heritage and who we are. I hope everyone has some positive memories.

Special Interests Hobbies: I attend a Bible Study every Wednesday night. I still like horses, but do not get to ride anymore. Have a
collection of pictures and Breyer horses. With spring and summer, I like to watch the birds and hear them sing. In the winter, I mostly am inside. I relax after a hard days work by watching TV and working on a puzzle. I have recently begun to do Facebook.
Most of my family is on it. So, if you want to friend me, please do.
With a young son, I have gotten back into all the oldies rock music and old movies. Yes, he likes all of that, the Beatles, Journey, Elton John, etc.
I am sad that my son will be done with school in a few years. I would give anything to have those High School days back. Most, if not all of you, your children are already grown and gone. I am so thankful that we waited to have a child because my son was
there for me when my husband passed away. I am so proud of him and love him so much. He plays Tuba and Tenor Sax in band. He is very good. Through all my struggles and trials, I have made God the center of my life. He is and always has been there for
me. This has become my life verse of scripture, Romans 8:28 “And we know all things work together for good, to those who love
the Lord, who are called according to His purpose.” I know that He has always had a plan for my life and it excites me to think about what the next phase of my journey will be.
Most Memorable High School Experience: There are so many, first and foremost, I will always remember Paula. Painting the big post in the art room, anybody remember that? And going out on Friday nights with Roger Woelfel, Bob Hoerth, Barb Nennig and
John Mayer. I remember carrying around on piggy back, one of Mike Kobriger’s younger brothers, I think it was Joe.
