Chinatown is a region in chicago that has chinese stores and restaurants. It is a place for chinese people to meet and speak chinese along with buy traditional food and goods. The region is full of shops carrying chinese merchandise like demons and heroes from their legends. Traditional chinese cafes and restaurants can be found all over if you are ever in the need of chinese food. Throughout the area their are traditional parks and temples for tourists and residents to enjoy. Cultural events like dragon boat parades can be found if desired. When you cross into Chinatown it will almost be as if you are transported into the the actual China.

Then board a train heading to Chicago. You will arrive at the Chicago amtrak station, located at 225 South Canal Street Chicago, IL 60606.

Buddhist TempleThe Buddhist temple is located on Wentworth. The temple has a statue of the thousand armed Guan Yin Bodhisattva. The temple has been standing since 2003 and is a place to worship.

Chinatown squareChinatown square was completed in 1993 and is a wonderful place to shop. The center of the square has 12 bronze zodiac sculptures. The square is also the location of many cultural events and festivals. If you want authentic goods this is the place to go to do your shopping.

Ping Tom Memorial ParkPing Tom Memorial Park, is one of the best hidden parks, newspapers declare. There is only one entrance, a small gate, but it opens up into a 32 acre park along the Chicago river. Come sit in a pagoda, or watch the river. Maybe you'll even be there in time for the Dragon Boat festival!

Nine Dragon WallThe nine Dragon Wall, is a wall, covered with nine large dragons, and hundreds of smaller dragons as well. They are painted in bright red or gold or blue, representing good fortune. The wall is one of three replicas of the BeiHai(North Sea) in Beijing, China. A very popular tourist attraction.
