Learning Objectives: • To understand how important it is to accept first ideas as starting points even when they seem ‘whacky’ and inappropriate.• To develop unfeasible ideas and increase their value.• To consider how to be creative in a range of different subjects. We are learning this because:• Sometimes first ideas are discarded quickly when if they could be developed they may be the most creative!• It is very useful not only to have good ideas, but to be able to develop them.We will know if we have been successful if:• We become more reflective and evaluative of first ideas.• We have some notion of what creativity looks like around the curriculum.

• Look at the following examples of Chindogu. Clearly these ideas are IMAGINATIVE and ORIGINAL, but do they have VALUE? Will they work? Answer two questions.

• How could you improve the design to make it have more VALUE?

• How could you use the idea of the design for a different purpose or in a different situation?

Back Scratcher's T-ShirtThe fast and logical solution to infernal itching The friend (or partner) who offers to scratch your back is a friend (or partner) indeed. Except it all goes horribly wrong when they just can't seem to locate the maddening itch.
