Christ Community Church Newsletter April – June, 2016 ...effectively impacting our community by making disciples of Christ. Final Lap Renovation Update Building Renovation Update Wow, over the past 2 years our church has gone through an amazing journey of being refreshed and revitalized. And now the time has come for us to celebrate all that He has done through us! As we com- plete the final touches on our building we can give thanks to the Lord that we have completed our goal of raising $925,000.00 towards the cost of the renovations! As you remember the Elders presented to the congregation an additional project be- yond the scope of our original renovation. We discovered the need to purchase new air conditioning units and duct work. Along with this we incurred unforeseen costs due to the nature of the building. Therefore the final costs for the renova- tions are planned to be paid through a mortgage refinancing that will allow the church to combine our current construc- tion loan and mortgage. Please attend the April 3 meeting at 10:30 that will explain this plan. Although we have experienced some overruns to our budget, all of our contrac- tors have been gracious to us and have given us many free and discounted items throughout the renovation. Now that we are transitioning from our renovation we will be moving into a sea- son of maintenance on our building. If you desire to continue to support the building upkeep financially you can give to our “Building Fund”. If you have a desire to serve the church in the capacity of clean- ing or maintenance please feel free to contact Pastor Steve at the church. Cur- rently our Trustee team is looking for those with building maintenance knowl- edge and a willingness to serve. We will also be planning an open house later this year to invite the community to celebrate in what God has accomplished through us for His purpose here at C3. Footstool to New Levels Within every attack of the enemy is the Lord’s provision for the opposite outcome. Romans 8:28 says, “For we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.“Therefore we must not stay wounded but press into the “good” that God is working in every situation. What the enemy means for harm God works for good. Seek Him to find the blessing hidden in each trial. Enemies are to become our footstools. According to Psalm 110:1, “The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your foot- stool.” If we are His body, His hands and His feet, then the enemy belongs under us. Therefore every attack and attempt to defeat us is an opportunity to be elevated because footstools are for reaching higher heights. We must look for the opportunity in every situation that has the power to lift us up to a new level of understanding God’s “good” for us. Learn to overcome and stand on the last trial victorious as it is under your feet. We must overcome obstacles through knowing the promises and char- acter of God’s love. We can overcome fear, self-pity and distress as we find the way of escape provided for us in every trial. Paul says,” God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” (1 Cor.10:13 ) The way of escape is through the precious prom- ises of God’s faithfulness. Knowing that there is a “good” that God is work- ing in us through every situation seek to find the good He is producing. It may be that quite possibly the trial we face is opening a new door of es- cape into a greater level of glory. The trials we face are becoming our foot- stools to a new level in Him. Believe it or not every attack of the enemy becomes an opportunity for growth and victory if we will seek Christ. A greater intimacy in God will reveal adversities as redemptive blessings of God. That is why James could say, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds.” (James 1:2) It is time to find the redemptive “good” that God has set within every situation and walk in the provisions of God’s goodness for those He loves. As our 2016 Prophetic Bulletin declares, “The year 2016 is being high- lighted as a season of personal victories and breakthroughs. Our faith will rise to a whole new level this year as our bondages are broken off and personal revelations are experienced. This victory will be preceded by a willingness to go DEEPER and HIGHER in the Lord so that we might have MORE of Him...Communicate life as opposed to loss.” - Pastor Tim

Easter Poem By Gary George I think back to that Easter When I was so greatly stirred, I gave my heart to Jesus and hungered for his Word. His glory and his power bringing day from the night And then I was water baptized And armored with His might The future I hold so exciting God's plans for me are great I laugh and cry with joy at each day He does create Jesus is my contact through him to the father I speak Each moment, each hour, each day I sing throughout the week what a holy anointing this feeling I can’t describe You just have to be a Christian to really be alive!
