Registration for 2016-2017 PSR (Parish School of Religion) and RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) has begun. We ask
that all First through Eighth graders of the parish who do not attend a Catholic school participate in PSR. St. Vincent DePaul serves hundreds of needy families a month.
Their resources are limited so each month we are asking Christ the King parishioners to donate a specific item that is needed. In June we will be collecting toilet paper. So be sure to stop by the vestibule with your donation. Please consider making a monthly donation to St. Vincent DePaul so that more folks in need can be helped. From the Pastor’s Desk
Happy Father’s Day to the fathers and grandfathers of our parish. May the Lord fill you with every grace necessary to be loving, strong, compassionate, and brave fathers. Your role is indispensable in the Church and in society – no one can replace you! Thank you for all that you do to model and teach the Catholic faith to your families. We continue to pray for the victims of last weekend’s tragedy in Orlando. We also pray that the darkened hearts of violent men and women might be illuminated by the light of the Gospel. Jesus commands us to love our enemies and to do good to those who persecute us. May God help us to work each day for unity, peace, and mutual respect. Lastly, please note that the fifth annual Fortnight for Freedom will be taking place in our country from June 21 (the Feast of Saints John Fisher and Thomas More) to July 4 (Independence Day). Organized by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Fortnight is a time of prayer, study, and public action focused on defending religious liberty. The threats to this most basic freedom are growing in the U.S. as our culture becomes increasingly secular. Movie night with Father Schalk! Come join other parishioners as
Father Schalk takes us on a spiritual journey through movies. We will have three movie nights this summer in the assembly room. Mark your calendars now for June 24, July 22, and August 19 at 7:00 p.m. Everyone should bring a snack to share (popcorn, potato chips, pretzels etc.) and Parish council will supply soda and beer. This is going to be a fun night so please plan to attend! (This event is in English.) All women of the parish are invited to attend an informational presentation to learn about a new ministry for our community. “Walking with Purpose” is a scripture based series which provides

Feliz Día del Padre para todos los papás de nuestra parroquia. Que el Señor llene sus corazones con toda la gracia necesaria para ser amorosos, fuertes, compasivos y padres valientes. Su papel es indispensable en la Iglesia y el mundo – ¡nadie puede remplazarlos! Gracias por todo lo que hacen para modelar y ensenar la fe católica a sus familias. Seguimos orando por las víctimas de la tragedia del fin de semana pasado en Orlando. También oramos para que los corazones empedernidos de hombres y mujeres violentos sean iluminados por la luz del evangelio. Jesús nos ordena amar a nuestros enemigos y hacer el bien a los que nos persiguen. Que Dios nos ayude a trabajar cada día por la unidad, la paz, y el respeto mutuo. Finalmente, por favor tengan en cuenta que la quinta Quincena Anual por la Libertad se llevará a cabo en nuestro país del 21 de junio (Fiesta de los santos John Fisher y Tomás Moro) hasta el 4 de julio (Día de la Independencia). Organizada por los Obispos Católicos de Estados Unidos, esta Quincena es un tiempo de oración, estudio, y acción pública centrado en defender la libertad religiosa. mientras el padre Schalk nos lleva a través de una jornada espiritual por medio de películas. Tendremos tres noches de película en el assembly room. Watch the bulletin for the order form so you can have one of your own 70th Anniversary Tee Shirts. Youth sizes will be $8, Adult sizes S to X-LG will be $10 and sizes 2X to 5X will be $12. You may pay by check or money order. Put your order form and payment in an envelope to drop in the church collection basket. Please Mark it “TEE SHIRT ORDER”. Payment must accompany order. Volunteers will be in the vestibule the weekend of July 2 to take orders before the deadline of July 3. Tee Shirts will be distributed in late July before the church picnic on July 31. All Saints Academy Catholic School
All Saints Academy is on summer break. We are working hard to
clean the building as many groups from the school, parish, and community have used the building over the past school year. We look forward to the return of students and staff in August. If you have a child ages 3-5 and are looking for preschool, call the office and leave us a message. We will return your calls throughout the summer. Office hours this summer are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday-Friday in June and August. We are closed in July.

“Fortnight For Freedom: Witnesses To Freedom” will take place from June 21 to July 4. This a time when our liturgical calendar
celebrates a series of great martyrs who remained faithful in the face of persecution by political power - St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher, St. John the Baptist, Sts. Peter and Paul, and the First Martyrs of the Church of Rome. The Diocese will offer Mass during the Fortnight for Freedom followed by a Holy Hour with the intention of religious liberty on Wednesday, June 29, 5:15 p.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral, 212 E. Escuela Católica All Saints Academy
All Saints Academy está de vacaciones. Estamos trabajando duro
