From the Pastor’s Desk
This weekend we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family. As I have mentioned in the past, this is my favorite feast day on our liturgical calendar. I thoroughly enjoy meditating upon Jesus, Mary, and Joseph who lived a very simple life together. What they lacked in wealth, they made up for in faith and love. They cared for each other and devoted themselves to God. We can only imagine the intensity of their happiness during those years in Nazareth. They have provided an example for all Catholic families down through the ages. On Monday – New Year’s Day – we will celebrate the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. We will have a special Mass at 9:00 a.m. in honor of Our Lady, commending 2018 to her maternal care. May Mary lead us into a deeper relationship with her Son throughout these next twelve months.

Este fin de semana celebramos la Fiesta de la Sagrada Familia. Como he dicho antes, este es mi día de fiesta favorito en nuestro calendario litúrgico. Disfruto mucho meditando sobre Jesús, María y José que vivieron juntos una vida muy simple. Lo que les faltaba en riqueza, lo compensaron con fe y amor. Se cuidaron unos a otros y se entregaron a Dios. Solo podemos imaginar la intensidad de su felicidad durante esos años en Nazaret. Ellos han sido un ejemplo para todas las familias católicas a través de las edades. El lunes, día de Año Nuevo, celebraremos la solemnidad de Santa María, Madre de Dios. Tendremos una Misa especial a las 9:00 a.m. en honor a Nuestra Señora, encomendando el 2018 a su cuidado materno. Que María nos conduzca a una relación más profunda con ella durante los próximos doce meses. ¡Que el Señor los bendiga durante el 2018! All Saints Academy Catholic School
We want to thank in a special way the Knights of Columbus for supporting one of our families over Christmas. This was a family that tragically lost their mom in a house fire on the east side of Columbus right before Christmas break. We ask that you pray for this family and for our school community as we mourn this loss. We are indeed grateful for all that Christ the King does for All Saints Academy!

After the Mass, the Roe Remembrance will take place at the Ohio Statehouse from noon to 1:00 p.m. This event is sponsored by Greater Columbus Right to Life.
