2017 Deadline December 17th

Thank you for your generosity.

ADVENT COLLECTION FOR CHRISTMAS HAMPERS Once again, we will be partnering with Ecole St. Pius X to provide Christmas hampers for families connected with St. Michael's school community. We will also be collecting food and most needed items for the men at Marian Centre. You are invited to choose a tag from the trees at both church entrances, to purchase that item (or an item of your choice) and bring it to church over Advent. If you prefer, a cash donation is welcome.

If you are aware of someone within our parish boundaries who would appreciate receiving a food hamper this Christmas, please call the office at 306-586-9020.

Please join us at the school if you are able on December 19th at 9:30 am to help with wrapping gifts and packing hampers. Many elves are needed! Thank you for your generosity in this season of sharing.

Development and Peace Rohingya Refugee Crisis

A mass influx of refugees has triggered a large-scale humanitarian crisis. There is an urgent need for food, water and other basic necessities. Give before November 28th and your donation will double. You can make a donation by phone at 1-888-664-3387.

Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday … now we have GivingTuesday, November 28th, 2017. It is a global movement for giving and volunteering and celebrates the “Opening day of the giving season.” Making a donation to the Archbishop’s Appeal or your parish is a great way to mark GivingTuesday. You can make a gift to the Archdiocese through the website www.archregina.sk.ca and click on “Donate Now”.

Thank you!

Knit & Chat

Our Knit and Chat group is Ecumenical and we would love to have more ladies join us on Monday afternoons from 1:00 - 3:00 pm for an afternoon of knitting or crocheting and of course, a cup of tea. At present, we are a small group of 6 to 8 and we recently gave 15 pairs of mitts and 5 toques or headbands to the following schools: Deshaye, St. Pius, Argyle, Milliken, Lakeview and Perry.

We also make afghans which are given to any one in need and to the Nursing homes, Salvation Army, etc. Baby shawls and other articles for babies are given to Birthright.

We are always needing donations of yarn which is greatly appreciated.

Joyful Noise Looking for a way to share your talents with your parish family? Join our brand new choir for children and youth. We welcome all children to join and sing along. Currently we need piano players, guitarists, drummers, wind instrumentalists; whatever instrument you play! Come and join us! A practise is scheduled for November 26th at 1:00 pm in the church.

If you are interested then please email Michelle at [email protected] and she will add you to the interest list as practices are scheduled.

If you have concerns about euthanasia, assisted suicide or end-of-life treatment issues related to a family member or friend, call us.
