Christ University was formerly Christ College (Autonomous)affiliated to Bangalore University. Established in July 1969,Christ College became the most preferred educationalinstitution in the city of Bangalore within the first threedecades From 1990 onwards it scaled from heights todecades. It has the rare distinction to be the first institution in Karnataka to be accredited by National Assessment andAccreditation Council (NAAC) UGC for quality education. On 7 October 2004, UGC has conferred Autonomy toChrist College (No. F.13-1/2004). On May 20, 2005, it became the first College in South India to be reaccreditedwith A+ by NAAC. UGC has identified it as an Institution with Potential for Excellence in June 2006. July 22,2008 is the most glorious day in the history of the institution. Under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, Ministry ofHuman Resources Development of the Union Government of India, vide Notification No. F. 9-34/2007-U.3(A),has declared it a Deemed to be University, in the name and style of Christ University

Built between 1955 and 1957 to house the NATO integrated militarycommand, the premises at Porte Dauphine became vacant in 1966,when General de Gaulle decided to withdraw French forces from thatstructure The premises received their first students and teaching staffstructure. The premises received their first students and teaching staffafter the events of May 1968, and became the "Dauphine UniversityCentre". The full University was created two years later. From the outset,Paris-Dauphine University has developed a culture of considerableautonomy, along with a spirit of educational and scientific innovation.With it ll l it t th b i ld d it tWith its small classes, its openness to the business world and its trans-disciplinary approach to teaching and research, Paris DauphineUniversity has forged a solid reputation for itself. In February 2004 ParisDauphine University was granted the status of grand établissement.

This new status allowed the establishment to admit students based on their academic portfolio. Every year almostone thousand school-leavers begin their first year of university studies at Dauphine. These students aim to obtainthe 5-year Dauphine Masters Degree, provided that they pass their annual exams. Dauphine offers approximately80 routes or specialities, grouped together in major subject areas (management, economics, mathematics, IT, law,
