Gingerbread Treats RECEIPEMake delicious gingerbread treats in theshape of Christmas trees or snowmen todecorate your own Christmas tree!8 oz/250g plain flour2tsp/10ml baking powder1-2 tsps/5-10ml ground ginger3 oz/75g caster sugar2 tblsp/30ml treacle1-2 tblsp/15-30ml milk
1. Sift the flour with the bakingpowder and ground ginger. Rubin the butter until the mixturelooks like fine breadcrumbs.
2. Mix in the sugar, molasses (warmed) and milk.Knead until smooth and roll out to 6mm thick.
3. Cut out shapes using a cutter or a knife. Transfer to agreased baking sheet.
4. Leave to rest in the fridge for 20-30mins. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 190° (375°/Gas 5) for 10-12 mins.
5. Transfer to a cooling rack. When cold decorate withicing.
