Virtual Fundraising IdeasMad Hatter’s Tea PartyInvite everyone you know to join you online for a cuppa, cake and a chat. Suggest a donation to attend. Perhaps you can also organise a small raffle, or for an extra donation, ask someone to give a short talk.

Open Mic’ NightPlan an open mic night, where attendees can all join a group video meeting and then virtually raise their hand to host the microphone. Charge and entry fee, give the evening a topic, bring together the participants and away you go!

Movie Quiz NightArrange a fun – or competitive, quiz. Nominate a quiz- master and charge everyone an entry fee. Play as you normally would in a pub quiz team – but video call every-body instead. You can even do this every week and raise yet more money!

Raise funds for Sebastian’s Action Trust’s ‘Christmas in July’ event - without leaving your home!

Bring joy and fun to vulnerable children and their families in isolation by helping them connect through our unique online party with others who walk in similar shoes, who understand their challenges and who are living through the same uncertainty and fear.

Despite the current COVID-19 crisis, here are some great ways using Skype, FaceTime, Zoom and social media to fundraise virtually with your family, friends and work colleagues*:

Keepie-Uppies ChallengeDo 10 keepie-uppies with a football, or any other type of ball you have in the house. Ask someone to film you and share this on social media. Then donate £10 to the Trust – and nominate 10 other friends to take on the challenge.

Fancy Dress CompetitionOrganise a virtual fancy dress party, charge everybody a small entry fee and invite people to dress up in something ‘Alice in Wonderland’ – our theme for Christmas in July. Get people to share photos and offer a prize for the best-dressed person.

Christmas in July Bake-OffEncourage everyone from genius bakers to kitchen novices to bake and raise money. They can bake anything they like – from brownies and cookies to cakes and scones. Ask them for £5 to enter and share a photo of their creation so you can choose the winner.

Sponsored WalkGet support from your friends, families, neighbours and work colleagues to walk 5K – or, like Colonel Tom Moore, to walk around your garden. Film yourself and share with everybody. You might also take your dog along and invite extra donations.

Santa Fun RunFor the more energetic – why not dress up as Father Christmas and run around your garden twenty-five times for 50p a lap? Ask other people to do the same, or join in by jogging inside their houses, or on treadmills. The money will soon mount up.

Mad Hatter’s Dinner PartyHold a special online dinner party – complete with fine food and wine. Dress up for the occasion and ask for donations to be part of the event. The great news is you are not limited to the number of seats at a table to raise money!
