CHRISTMAS IN SPAIN

That night the family gathers and they have a special dinner. Father Christmas leaves some presents under the Christmas tree.

CHRISTMAS´EVE

• The children open their presents and they are excited. At 2:00p.m, we have a lovely lunch.

CHRISTMAS DAY

ON THE 31ST OF DECEMBER THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE GO TO THE PUERTA DEL SOL TO SAY HELLO TO THE NEW YEAR

NEW YEAR´S EVE

On the 5th of January the children from Spain enjoy the parade of the three wise men in the streets of their towns,cities and villages.On the 6th the children get up early because they want to open the presents.

THE THREE WISE MEN

We have lamb, prawns, pork and other delicious food.

We have nougat and marzipan for desserts as well

CHRISTMAS FOOD

• 12 grapes: On New Year’s Eve we eat 12 grapes in the last 12 seconds of the year.

• Crib : We put a model of the scene of Jesus Christ’s birth in our homes or churches.

• Carols: Children and adults sing carols in the streets , at home, at school, in churches…
