Santa Claus is a chubby old man with long white beard, red coat, and his famous “Ho, Ho, Ho”. He lives at his house in the North Pole. Santa Claus lives with his wife Mrs. Claus, a countless number of magical elves, and eight flying reindeer.
He makes a list of children throughout the world, deciding if they have been naughty or nice.
The night before christmas he delivers presents, including toys, candy, and other gifts to all of the good boys and girls in the world. He does this with the aid of the elves who make the toys in the workshop.
He flies through the sky on a sleigh pulled by reindeer. They are named Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen. The most famous, reindeer used by Santa on foggy nights is Rudolph. Santa noticed that Rudolph’s glowing red nose could help him to see where he is going.
He comes into houses down the chimney and places presents for the children in stockings by the fireplace or under the family Christmas tree.
In the morning, children wake up and are very happy and excited to open their presents and see what Santa has brought them.
Christmas lunch is also very special. People eat lots of food at Christmas. It is traditional to eat turkey on Christmas day, with vegetables. Also, lots of cake and chocolates are eaten too.
After lunch families usually sit down to watch special Christmas TV or movies. But, after such a big lunch and lots of excitement many people fall asleep.
