the thriller genre and gave a complex storyline which keeps the audience interested in the movie.
His 9 films have grossed over US $4.2 Billion worldwide and has received a total of 26 Oscar nominations and seven awards.

Inception fits the thriller genre because it has a very complex storyline which has many plot twists.
The Character of Dom Cobb appears at first to be a antagonist but then has to perform the impossible to become an antagonist.
The mind of Dom Cobb is the scene of the crime.
SoundThere is no background noise or music in this scene. The effect of this is that we can focus on what the dialogue is as it’s an important part of the narrative.
The noise in this shot builds up to the moment when the books fly off. The effect of this is that the audience can expect something to happen.
EditingFast paced editing- when the books are about to
fly off the editing is sped up to match the situation in the film at the current time.
Slow paced editing- When the 2 men are talking the editing is slow. This is because the audience need to hear what Is going on and they can process the information

How ‘The Dark Knight’ fits the thriller genre
The Dark Knight fits into the thriller genre as it has yet another complex storyline. It has plot twists and flashbacks which all link to the narrative.
The Dark Knight also contains complex characters such as The Joker.
SoundThe sound we can hear in this clip is people screaming and making loads of noise on top of really intense music. This allows us to hear what people are experiencing during the event happening. Additionally the clothing that the people are wearing suggests that they have reasonably well paid jobs or are really important.
Mise en sceneWe can tell from this image that this is an antagonist as they are dressed in a very unique way and has paint all over his face matching the different facial features. Also, the joker is handling a gun which suggests that he is trying to kill somebody.
From the image we can see that Batman is a Protagonist. He is also dressed in a unique way which makes people aware of who he is. This makes the audience understand who he is.
