Introduction

The purpose of this Style Guide is to preserve the look and feel of the two available covers (shown on the left). They were carefully created to promote your company’s marketing message in the most impactful way, ultimately supporting the perceived value of Gartner content. Following the guide will ensure the integrity of the original designs.

The templates have different characteristics that make each unique. One characteristic is the underlying grid structure which highlights the editorial content in varied ways. Other elements include colored boxes, and visual imagery which all support each concept. Graphics can be swapped out per the clients needs, such as, business people, headshots, computer equipment, etc.

Word and character counts are specified for editorial content. In some instances, word counts are used to identify full pages while character counts are used to identify smaller, more specific areas.

This template has a modern and sophisticated charm. Setting the text in a New Gothic MT sets the tone for a modern look and feel. The geometric shapes in contrasting colors embody the strikingly rich yet clean and uncluttered quality of the piece. A modern choice of vibrant colors, fonts, and three-column grid all give the piece a cutting-edge appeal.

We have a wide range of colors that blend well together, with that being said the color palette for this template cannot be altered.

Client logo needs to fit in designated area. This logo must be centered horizontally and vertically in that space. A minimum of .50” whitespace must be maintained all around.

Photo may be switched here. Horizontal, full color, photos are encouraged for the space provided.

Masthead title can be a maximum of 3 lines long. Font size and white space around should be maintained. Font is News Gothic MT Bold 36/38. Maximum character count is 61 with spaces.

Tagline size should be maintained and has a maximum character count of 74. Font is News Gothic MT Bold 20/24.

Table of contents font and size cannot be changed. The Article Title is News Gothic MT Regular 9/13. The numbers are bold.

Issue number or date is PT Sans Regular 13/15.

Position and size of Gartner logo cannot be altered. This is in accordance with Gartner branding guidelines.

Position and size of Gartner logo cannot be altered. This is in accor dance with Gartner branding guidelines.

Page number is News Gothic MT Regular 8/10. Rule above 1.5 weight, you can choose your color from the color palette.

The side bar title is News Gothic Bold 11/13 and the body is New Gothic Bold 9/13 Italic. There is a paragraph rule above the title and a paragraph rule on the last paragraph. Sidebars can be one or two columns.

The grahic title has a paragraph rule above it and the text is News Gothic MT Bold 10/12. The source or caption also has a rule above it and is News Gothic MT 8/10. This can be italic or regular font.

The colored shapes will vary with each layout depending on content, placement of graphics, side bars, ect. They will also vary in color combinations depeneding on the layout.
