Our History Pulsar’s roots began way back in 1966, when founder Paul Mardon

built his first Sound to Light machine using valves and relays before

studying Engineering and Management at Cambridge University.

In 1970 Pulsar Ltd was born with just a handful of staff, today Pulsar

has become a market leader, employing one hundred personnel all

committed to working together to further develop Pulsar as a world

renowned manufacturer of high-technology lighting equipment.

New Technologies Throughout our history Pulsar has always embraced the latest

developments in technology, and today is no exception. Recent

developments in energy efficient high-power LED devices have been

harnessed by Pulsar to provide our customers with a substantial

range of LED lighting products that are suitable for entertainment

solutions. The latest TriColour LED technology is now available

in many of our ChromaRange fixtures. This technology eliminates

CHROMARANGE FEATURES

CHROMARANGE FEATURES ChromaRange fixtures utilise specially selected high-efficiency

LEDs, comprised of a mixture of Red, Green and Blue types to allow

endless RGB colour mixing – making 16.7 million colours possible

Other LED combinations are also available for specialist applications

such as Variable White (VW) and RGB+VW for ultimate flexibility.

Pulsar's advanced electronic design and thermal management

techniques mean that the high quality LEDs in ChromaRange

fixtures have an expected life of 25,000 hours at continuous full

power white, which increases to 100,000 hours when the fixture is

dimmed or producing coloured light as in normal use.

The fixtures are exceptionally robust, durable and very cost effective

– making them easy to install, run and maintain. There is no lamp to

change and heat output is minimal.

Pulsar’s totally flicker-free electronics produce a continuous, smooth,

soothing light. We do not compromise on this and don’t use Pulse

Width Modulation (PWM) in any of our LED fixtures. PWM, by it's very

nature, strobes the LEDs at high frequency, which can produce a

stressful, agitating light. Relax with Pulsar Light!

Many products have a selection of lenses and/or different beam

shapes to suit your needs.

CUSTOM CHROMARANGE The ChromaRange is available in custom LED configurations to

meet your specification. For minimum orders of 12 pieces we can

populate the LED colours of your choice into our products. Typical

manufacturing time for such orders is 4 weeks from confirmed order.

ChromaRange models. TriColour Technology eliminates

serves to eliminate the ingress of dirt and allows for easy cleaning.

The ChromaFlood 200/100 fixtures are powered directly from mains

power and have full remote control of LED levels to provide smooth

flicker-free control of their endless colour calibrated palette.

For ease of configuration, a backlit LCD UIM (User Interface Module)

provides access to all functions and settings. Internal sequences

provide the facility of operation of the fixtures without the need for a

separate control system.

The ChromaBankIP contains rectangular square ChromaHearts, each

can be controlled individually or via the extensive dual internal

Chase Generators. The ChromaBank is also compatible with "video

DMX" systems allowing the display of complex graphics and effects

from a flicker-free, colour calibrated LED based fixture.

ChromaBankIP is ideal for TV, Theatre and Stage applications

providing incredible illumination and flexibility from an LED based

fixture. The colour wash effect is flawless on sets and cycs, and very

effective when installed beneath glass floors or walls. It is also highly

impressive when hung from trusses, allowing numerous chasing

ChromaBank contains 12 round ChromaHearts packaged together in

one linear lighting source. The ChromaBank is also compatible with

"video DMX" systems allowing the display of complex graphics and

effects. Incredible illumination from a flicker-free LED based fixture.

The ChromaBank Mk2 is supplied with four lens options to give the

designer the ultimate flexibility for ChromaBank applications. All four

lenses are rapidly interchangeable in a matter of seconds by use of

quick-release end plates.

CHROMAZONE

ChromaZone units provide regulated, safe low voltage power

and control signals to drive the low voltage range of Pulsar

ChromaRange LED fixtures.

Available with twelve or six outputs and either wall or rack mounting

versions for project / show flexibility.

Two internal chase generators provide stunning sequences, which

can be accessed from the digital control input. Stand-alone mode

allows operation without a control system.

The digital input also allows for remote control by entertainment

and architectural control systems and a wide range of operation

modes can be selected to suit the control requirements, including a

“video” mode for use with matrix and video control systems.

the CS2. They are finished in sleek extruded aluminium and available in

four lengths. The ChromaStripX3 is weather-proof and is available with

either 1W/3W or 5mm LEDs.

ChromaStripX3 is ideal for highlighting architectural features such as

windows, doorways, coving or building structure outlines and can also

be used for linear illumination applications.

1&3W LEDs are used in "1W" models to increase longevity and provide a

Pulsar’s ChromaMR16 range provides a vast selection of possibilities

for designers, with interior, exterior and even underwater

versions. ChromaMR16 fixtures are ideally suited to interior design

applications and provide beautiful colour control of walls, alcoves

and glass/acrylic structures.

Available separately, the MR16 heart can also be utilised in standard

MR16 fixtures. Large quantities of ChromaMR16s can be driven from

the ChromaZone, up to 60 on the ChromaZone12 for example.

ChromaHearts allow Pulsar technologies to easily be integrated into

bespoke design and OEM applications.

ChromaHearts are easy to interface as they only require a low

voltage supply and three analogue control signals (Red, Green, Blue).

Three large models are available, AR111/PAR36, Standard and Low

Profile in addition to the compact MR16 size.

Omnidirectional CSX1E and CSX3E ChromaLightEngines as used

in our ChromaSpheres are also available, please call for more

information.

CHROMA12V RANGE

CHROMASTRIP12V / MR16HEART12V 12V ChromaStrips and MR16 Heart 12V are single colour LED fittings

powered directly from 12V AC or DC such as common 12V down

lighter transformers or even vehicle battery supplies. Standard 12V

transformers and dimmer packs can be used to power and dim

these products.

The ChromaStrips are available in 300, 600, 900 and 1200 lengths,

each are capable of 20˚ or 90˚ beam angles by inverting the circuit

board. CS12V are made to order in single LED colours of your

specified choice. ChromaStrip 12V are waterproof and are designed

for concealed lighting and to highlight architectural features such as

windows, doorways, coving or building structure outlines.

utilises the latest TriColour Technology to eliminate multi-coloured

shadows, while being colour calibrated and flicker-free.

Each ChromaLink features 6 TriColour devices, each containing 3

LEDs (Red+Green+Blue).

ChromaLink is easily linked from end to end using its high quality

WAGO Cage Clamp connectors for reliability and ChromaFlexLite

cable. Up to 10 ChromaLinks may be linked to one ChromaZone

(17W) output or up to 30 to a ChromaZoneX3 (50W) output.
