Le Château de Pennautier*The Château de Pennautier is an authentic 17th century stately home, often heralded as the Versailles of the Languedoc. Indeed the Château itself was designed by illustrious architect Louis Le Vau, with the gardens laid out by Le Nôtre. Today Pennautier’s extensive vineyards produce wines of international renown, and the Château is available to hire for special events. Fully renovated, with the utmost respect for the elegance of the historic interiors, Château de Pennautier is conveniently located just 3 km from Carcassonne ( , ) and 90 km from Toulouse ( , ).The Château boasts a conference centre with 4 seminar rooms (30-180 people), 20 luxury bedrooms, several function rooms, a ball room, the “Galerie Louis XIV”, a 30-hectare garden with outdoor swimming pool, a private parking area, wireless internet and bespoke on-site services.It is also possible to book the whole Château for private functions.During your stay you will have free access to the prestigious “Salon d’Honneur”, where you can get together with friends and family in a warm, friendly atmosphere in front of a roaring fire, and enjoy some music and a good glass of wine.A breakfast buffet will be served in the Château’s private Dining Room.

Le Domaine de Garille*Situated just 2 km from Château de Pennautier, within the grounds of the estate, Le Domaine de Garille has 7 charming cottages with a private terrace and a wonderful view over the vineyardsand the mountains.

The cottages can be hired as gîtes, or individual guest rooms.

Restaurant “La Table du Château” & wine shop ”La Cave du Château”*In our restaurant, set in a lovingly converted farm building, our chef offers a menu bursting with fresh Mediterranean flavours.

The “Cave du Chateau” our wine boutique, gives you the chance to discover, taste and order all of the wines produced on our estates.

“Le Jardin d’été” our open air wine & tapas bar, is open from June through September. Max capacity: 200 people. Private bookings possible.

* The central facilties are within walking distance of one another (Château de Pennautier, table-cave du Château de Pennautier) and a shuttle service runs to the Domaine de Garille (2 km) from 7am to 12pm.

“Le Parc”- Use of the garden for installation of a marquee. A 30-hectare stately garden with views

of the vineyards.

- Use of toilet facilities inside the Château during your event.

- Use of the garden on Thursday and Friday for the installation of the marquee (hours to be confirmed in advance) and Saturday & Sunday until 5 pm & Monday for the disassembling of the marquee (hours to be confirmed in advance).

“Le Parc” & “L’Orangerie”- Use of the garden for installation of a marquee. A 30-hectare stately garden with views

of the vineyards.

- Use of the garden on Thursday and Friday for the installation of the marquee (hours to be confirmed in advance) and Saturday & Sunday until 5 pm & Monday for the disassembling of the marquee (hours to be confirmed in advance) + €300 /extra day.

- Use of the Orangerie the day before from 3 pm to 5 pm. You must vacate the premises by 5 pm on the day after the wedding, with all furniture tidied away.

“La Chapelle”- Use of the Chapel for your ceremony (religious & Christian)*.

- €500 donated directly to a Christian charity (list available on request).

Our services

Swimming pool

Only open to guests staying on site. The swimming pool will be closed during the reception.

Kitchen The caterer can use the kitchen (only for events taking place inside the Château).

Logistics Deliveries: the day before, between 3 pm and 5 pm, and the day of the event from 12am. You will have a small room and fridge at your disposal where you can stock your drinks for the evening party.We have personalized road signs to indicate the parking area and the Château entrance.

Restaurant For your meals and brunch before and after the event, our restaurant “La Table/Cave du Chateau” offers menus and tapas selections from €30 per person, drinks included.The whole restaurant can be booked for private events.

Rooms In the Château: 20 four-star rooms and 2 two-star rooms.If you wish to book rooms, a minimum of 4 bedrooms must be reserved for each night.At Domaine de Garille: 7 charming gîtes which can sleep a maximum of 55 guests. Price per room: from €70 (Summer: minimum stay of 1 week, whole gîtes only).

Coordination& preparation

We can coordinate suppliers/activities before the wedding (caterers, florists, musical entertainment etc.). Prices from €500. Coordination on the day of the wedding (sup-pliers, installing equipment, decoration etc.). Price: €200.

Wine The wines we serve are all produced on the estates of the Lorgeril family, owners of the Château: 6 vineyards and 9 AOC wines. We can also provide champagne and Crémant de Limoux.If you provide your own champagne, we do impose a corkage fee of €3 per bottle (not inc. tax)

Parking We can provide parking within the Château grounds only for guests staying on site (limited number of spaces).We also have an additional exterior parking area outside the Château grounds, for use by guests.Car park security available on request (extra fee).

Suppliers/Partners

Once you have confirmed your reservation, we will send you a list of our partners/suppliers.You are free to choose your own caterer and other service providers, subject to respect for our terms and conditions.

Children We can set aside a room where kids can play /sleep, from €250.Babysitting service: on request.

Furniture We can supply extra furniture on request.We also offer rental of white chair covers at €3/cover.

We are equipped to welcome events of all kinds with a marquee in the garden, up to a maximum of 1000 guests. Please consult us with any specific requirements you may have. The Château de Pennautier is a private estate. The owners reserve the right to refuse any event (before final confirmation has been given) without need for further justification.
