Theme Verses

• Isaiah 56:7b "for my house will

be called a house of prayer for

all nations.”

Isaiah 56:3-7

3 Let no foreigner who is bound

to the Lord say, “The Lord will

surely exclude me from his

people.” And let no eunuch

complain, “I am only a dry tree.”

4 For this is what the Lord says:

“To the eunuchs who keep my

Sabbaths, who choose what

pleases me

Page 8: Church in Community

and hold fast to my covenant—

5 to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will endure forever.

6 And foreigners who bind themselves to the Lord to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants,

Page 9: Church in Community

all who keep the Sabbath without

desecrating it and who hold fast to

my covenant —

7 these I will bring to my holy

mountain and give them joy in my

house of prayer. Their burnt

offerings and sacrifices will be

accepted on my altar; for my

house will be called a house

of prayer for all nations.”

Theme Verses

• 1 Corinthians 11:1 "Imitate me,

just as I also imitate Christ.“

• 1 Cor 11 1 Follow my example,

as I follow the example of

Christ.

Page 11: Church in Community

• 1 Cor 10:31-33

31 So whether you eat or drink or

whatever you do, do it all for the

glory of God. 32 Do not cause

anyone to stumble, whether Jews,

Greeks or the church of God—

33 even as I try to please everyone

in every way. For I am not seeking

my own good but the good of

many, so that they may be saved.

Page 12: Church in Community

• Mark 10:45

For even the Son of Man did not come

to be served, but to serve, and to give

his life as a ransom for many.”

Page 13: Church in Community

• Luke 4:18-19

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is

on me, because he has

anointed me to proclaim

good news to the poor.

Page 14: Church in Community

He has sent me to proclaim

freedom for the prisoners

and recovery of sight for the

blind, to set the oppressed free,

19 to proclaim the year of the

Lord’s favor.”

Page 15: Church in Community

Take–Home Point

• The take-home point from all

the above is that God's highest

priority is that all people be set

free and be saved. We should

do all that is possible for the

Gospel to be shared.
