WOOL NEEDED!!! The Ladies of Charity are in need of skeins of wool to crochet lap robes and shawls for cancer patients, nursing home residents, the elderly, and the sick. They also make baby blankets for Richmond University Medical Center. ALTAR SERVERS

St. Rita School and CCD students in the 6th, 7th or 8th grades wishing to become Altar Servers are asked to please call Mary Grace Liss at the parish office.

We should be mindful of our attire for Church and show our respect for the Lord’s House. Our Church is air-conditioned, so when attending Mass, please dress appropriately.

St. Rita’s Athletic Association has one vacancy beginning in September 2014 on the Board of Directors. The SRAA Board of Directors serves as the governing body for all of the athletic programs administered for the Parish of St. Rita’s. The Cross Road Foundation is holding a Summer Diaper Drive to help stock the

Mommy Store with the most essential items. They will be accepting donations of diapers and baby wipes

What is Eucharistic Adoration? Eucharistic Adoration is spending time adoring the presence of Our Lord Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Eucharistic Guardians hold weekly obligations called Holy Hours. The obligation is for one hour, the same hour each week.

What Do I Do? Adorers spend time in silent contemplation and prayer. You may pray the Rosary, Stations of the Cross or some other form of prayer. Some adorers choose to read the Bible or other spiritual materials.

What If I Cannot Commit an Hour? If you are not able to hold an hourly obligation each week, you may want to consider becoming a Substitute Guardian. For information, contact Peter and Gabriella Malara at 718-442-5884.
