Knights Of Columbus Oyster Bay Council 1206

Faith – Family – Parish - Charity - Unity.

We believe that a man is more than simply a man, when he bears the title of “Knight.”

That he is defined by his actions as a follower of God and as a leader in his community.

That he is thought of, and relied upon, as a spiritual leader by his family and in his parish.

Listen to your call to be part of a surging Catholic man’s spiritual movement. The call of the Knights is your call.

Put Your Faith in Action.

“And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land…” EZEKIEL 22:30

Meetings held monthly on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. at the Silveri Center, entrance at the rear of St. Dominic Chapel. Email the Council at [email protected] or call Stephen Gheerow at (646) 283-7257 or Stephen Pinzino Esq. at (516) 385-0157. First Friday and Saturday Devotions St. Dominic’s Chapel 7:30 am Mass

This Friday is First Friday…

All those who attend Mass on the first Friday in nine consecutive months, I promise in the excessive Mercy of My Heart that My All Powerful Love will grant the grace of final penitence: they shall not die in my disgrace nor without receiving the sacraments: My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

This Saturday is First Saturday…

All those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, shall confess, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary, and keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to My Immaculate Heart, I promise to assist at the hour of death, with graces necessary for salvation.

PARISH SOCIAL MINISTRY/OUTREACH

VOLUNTEER FACILITATOR NEEDED-COMMUNION FOR THE HOMEBOUND

IN ADDITION TO ASSISTING CLIENTS WITH DAILY NEEDS (FOOD, CLOTHING, AND SHELTER), ALONG WITH AD-VOCACY, HOLIDAY DRIVES AND OTHER NECESSITIES, WE ALSO COORDINATE EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION FOR THE HOMEBOUND. THIS MINISTRY IS A SYMBOLIC AND CONCRETE REMINDER THAT, AS BAPTIZED CHRISTIANS, WE ARE CALLED TO SHARE CHRIST WITH ONE ANOTHER, ESPECIALLY WITH THE HOMEBOUND. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A VOLUNTEER WHO WOULD BE ABLE TO FACILITATE THIS IMPORTANT NEED AS WE RESPOND TO REQUESTS FOR COMMUNION FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT BE HOMEBOUND. PLEASE, PRAYERFUL-LY, CONSIDER THIS VITAL NEED AS WE OFFER CHRIST’S LOVE THROUGH OUR COMPASSION AND CONCERN FOR ONE ANOTHER. THIS CAN BE DONE FROM HOME, WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH ME AS REQUESTS COME INTO THE PARISH SOCIAL MINISTRY/OUTREACH OFFICE AND WITH THE ESTABLISHED PARISH POOL OF HOMEBOUND EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS. PLEASE CONTACT ME, DAWN DILLON, DIRECTOR, OF THE PARISH SOCIAL MNISTRY/OUTREACH OFFICE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION… PARISH 516-922-4488 EX 1294 OR EMAIL [email protected]
