Second Sunday of Easter or

Sunday of Divine Mercy

April 8, 2018

Divine Mercy Sunday was officially established in 2000 by

Pope John Paul II to be celebrated each year on the Octave

Day of Easter, the eighth day of Easter. Today we rejoice in

the gift of God’s mercy that Jesus offered to the whole world

through his cross and resurrection. Let us thank God for that

mercy and pray for the grace to extend that mercy to one

another.

I have called you by name, you are mine” Isaiah 43:1

Is God calling you? Do you want to learn more about the Catholic Faith? Are you interested in becoming part of our Catholic family?

The RCIA Process (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process by which those interested in becoming a Roman Catholic Christian learn about our faith. Through interviews, classes and discussions, adults are prepared to accept the challenge of our baptism and encouraged to live the message and teachings of Jesus Christ. The RCIA process is also for those Catholics who have not been educated in our faith and have not received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Communion.

If you, or some one you know is interested in determining if God is calling you to be part of our faith community, please contact the Rectory office at 718-335-2626 to set up an appointment with one of our Priests.
