FAITH FORMATION

INFORMATION

Faith Formation Classes are held on

Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at

the Parish Center. The classes run from

September through May.

A new registration form MUST be completed for all

present students as well as new students to attend our

program. Parents must bring the following documents

when registering:

- Baptism Certificate;

- Birth Certificate if child/ren is not baptized;

- If a child attended Religious Education classes at

another parish a transfer letter is required.

be interested in volunteering for the Faith Formation

Introduction too the Liturgy of the Day

As we enter the second week of Advent, we are invited to

reflect on how prepared we are for the Lord’s coming. Are

there mountains and other obstacles in our path that block

our way to holiness? Are there valleys and deserts that

bring us low and leave us weak? We turn to God to receive

the grace to overcome our troubles and pitfalls and allow us

to ready our hearts for Jesus.

del Día Al entrar en la segunda semana de Adviento se nos invita a

refexionar acerca de cuán preparados estamos para la

venida del Señor. ?Hay montañas y otros obstáculos en

nuestro camino que obstruyen nuestro caminar hacia la san-

tidad? ?Hay valles y desiertos que nos degeneran y nos de-

jan débiles? Invoquemos a Dios para recibir la gracia de

superar estos conflictos y dificultades, y así poder disponer

THE GIVING TREE

The “Giving Tree” is an opportunity for people

to share their blessings at Christmas with those

less fortunate. Once again, during this Advent

season, our Parish (tenth year Anniversary) will

have a “GIVING TREE” to collect new gifts for children

and moms of the Hour Children Program. These children

are temporarily deprived of their mothers who are detained

in prison.

Clothing (all sizes), dolls/cars/trucks arts and crafts kits, bicycles,

children’s DVD’s, handheld games, gift cards, jewelry, scarves/

gloves, music/movies, DVD players

Clothing (L & XL), perfume, gift cards, jewelry, PJ’s/ slippers,

watches, gloves/scarves, lotions/make-up twin size, sheet sets,

blankets and comforters, towels, clock radios, pots and pans

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The ornaments on the “Giving Tree” have gifts written on

them. Choose an ornament and take it home. Purchase the

gift and attach the ornament to the new unwrapped present.

Drop the gifts off at the Rectory during daytime or evening

office hours. (Please check bulletin for day/night office

hours.)

WHERE DO THE GIFTS GO?

All gifts are distributed to children who are placed in the

Hour Children Program under the direction of Sister Tesa

Fitzgerald, CSJ.

WHERE IS THE “GIVING TREE”?

The tree will be decorated with the ornaments and located at

the back of the Church near the ascending Christ.
