Our Islamic broth-
ers and sisters at the
Mosque Al-Huda
have invited us to
come to the Iftar –
the meal of the breaking of the Ramadan fast.
The celebration begins at 6pm at the Mosque at the cor-
ner of Springinsguth and Irving Park Road. All are wel-
come to attend.
It is hard to believe but Family Fest is only weeks away.
This annual parish event begins on Wednesday, June 20
and ends on Sunday, June 24. It is always a great time.
Please mark your calendars. I know you will enjoy it.
Next weekend is Memorial Day weekend.
We remember all those people who have made the
ultimate sacrifice to keep our nation free. Please
remember them in prayer. This day is different than
Veterans’ Day which honors ALL veterans, not just
those who died in battle.
Beginning June 18, all priests of the Archdiocese of
Chicago will attend the Priests’ Convocation –
a meeting of all priests with the Cardinal. This
convocation is an opportunity to see other priests,
discuss important issues together, and be united in a
spirit of prayer and brotherhood. Please pray for us as
we are on Convocation. Thanks.

pasado, mis disculpas. Será el martes, 22 de mayo.
Nuestros hermanas y hermanos Islámicos de la
Mezquita Al-Huda nos han invitado a su Iftar –
la comida que termina el ayuno de Ramadán.
Esta celebración iniciará a las 6 p.m. en la Mezquita
en la intersección de Irving Park y Springinsguth.
Todos son invitados.
Es dfícil de creer que la Feria annual “Family Fest”
ya esta a la vuelta de la esquina. Este evento anual
inicia el miércoles 20 de junio y termina el 24 de
junio. Es un evento muy divertido. Favor de marcar
sus calendarios, yo se que les va a gustar.
El próximo fin de semana es el Día Conmemorativo
“Memorial Day”. Recordamos a todos aquellos que
se han sacrificado por una nación libre. Favor de
recordarlos en sus oraciones. Este día es diferente al
día de los veteranos, el cual rinde honor a TODOS
los veteranos, no solo aquellos que han muerto.
A partir del 18 de junio, todos los sacerdotes de la
Arquidiócesis de Chicago asistirán a la Convocación
de Sacerdotes – una reunión de todos los sacerdotes
con el Cardenal. Esta convocación es una
oportunidad para platicar con otros sacerdotes,
hablar de temas de importancia, y unirnos en espíritu
de oración y hermandad. Favor de recordarnos en
sus oraciones durante esta Convocación. Gracias.

Gospel of Mark
The Women’s Reflection Group will meet on Wednesday,
May23rd, at 9:30 a.m. in the Hospitality Room to continue our
journey with Jesus in the Gospel of Mark, Chapters 11, 12, & 13.
This major section of Mark’s Gospel begins with Jesus’ entry
into Jerusalem. In these three critical chapters we learn that the
basis of Christian discipleship is putting our trust in God and
then putting that trust into action by loving our neighbor.
Join us for this opportunity to grow in your faith and knowledge of Sacred Scripture.

y gloria, y que habló por los profetas.
Creo en la Iglesia, que es una, santa, católica y apostólica.
Confieso que hay un solo bautismo para el perdón
de los pecados.
