There are five ivari CI Portfolios to meet the full
spectrum of investor profiles. In working with your
advisor, you determine your risk tolerance and
investment objectives and identify the portfolio that
is suitable for you.
Fully diversified
ivari CI Portfolios match their investor profiles by
investing in a blend of underlying equity and fixed-
income funds. The portfolios are fully diversified by
asset class, geographic region, economic sector,
investment style and investment manager.

CI GAM | Multi-Asset Management using
comprehensive research and recommendations
from State Street Global Advisors – a world
leader in investment research. Each portfolio
is designed to provide the maximum
return possible for a given level of risk.
CI GAM | Multi-Asset Management monitors the
portfolios and rebalances the holdings as necessary
to ensure they remain true to their mandates. The
underlying funds are actively managed by a lineup
of leading portfolio management teams.

A balanced asset mix ensures that investors are
not dependent on any one asset class or security
to provide returns. ivari CI Portfolios are diversified
and strategically engineered for efficiency –

Each portfolio is constructed to suit client needs
for capital preservation, income generation and
long-term growth.
The Portfolios invest in a select mix of underlying
income, Canadian equity, U.S. equity and international
equity funds.

CI GAM | Multi-Asset Management, a division of
CI Global Asset Management uses asset mix research
and recommendations from State Street Global Advisors
to help craft ivari CI Portfolios. With US$3.9 trillion* in
assets under management and more than 500 global
investment professionals, State Street Global Advisors is
one of the largest investment management companies
in the world and operates in more than 100 global
markets.
Working with research from State Street Global
Advisors, CI GAM | Multi-Asset Management reviews
assumptions of the asset mixes, including volatility
and expected returns, and makes adjustments as
needed to ensure the portfolios continue to be
efficient and forward looking to capture maximum
return for a given level of risk.

The CI GAM | Multi-Asset Management team selects
funds and their managers for the program based on
their investment process, proven ability to add value and
“fit” into the overall portfolio diversification strategy. The

ivari CI Conservative Portfolio – This portfolio may
be right for a person who will invest for a medium to
long term and wants potential for income and some
growth and is comfortable with small to moderate
changes in value during the term.
ivari CI Canadian Balanced Portfolio – This portfolio
may be right for a person who will invest for a medium
to long term and wants potential for growth and
income and is comfortable with small to moderate
changes in value during the term.
ivari CI Balanced Portfolio – This portfolio may be
right for a person who will invest for a medium to
long term and wants potential for growth and income
and is comfortable with small to moderate changes in
value during the term.
ivari CI Growth Portfolio – This portfolio may be
right for a person who will invest for a medium to
long term and wants potential for growth and some
income and is comfortable with small to moderate
changes in value during the term.
ivari CI Maximum Growth Portfolio – This portfolio
may be right for a person who will invest for the
long term and wants potential for growth and is
comfortable with moderate changes in value during
the term.
ivari CI Portfolios are available as Guaranteed
Investment Portfolios within select ivari segregated
funds contracts and as Managed Interest Index
Options* within select ivari universal life products.

designed to maximize returns while
minimizing volatility for that level of
