understand and explain things.Use technology to explain and understand

things.Realize that models are representations of

real things.Use models to solve and create math

(addition/Subtraction) problems.

The beginning of each unit day will begin with, depending on the animal, a reading from the Exploring the Animal Kingdom Books. This will give students allow students to use their listening skills as well as give them the opportunity to discuss their thoughts afterwards.

Students will be “tested” or graded on each station and activity, in order for me to get a general idea of the overall understanding of this unit. (Except craft)

This will be used to ask students questions, and give me an understanding of who is struggling with the material

We will use this together in order to make up a question for one person in the class.

Two of the worksheets I used will be used with math and the last will be used for understanding the animal kingdom.

The last will be used with addition and the models we used. I will ask the students to partner up and create a model problem for the person they have partnered with.
