CIMENTO di SAI Industry è un composto cementizio applicato a pannelli di diversi materiali, con lo scopo di mantenere la stessa forza espressiva del cemento grezzo, con tempi e pesi notevolmente ridotti.

SAI Industry’s CIMENTO is a concrete based mixture applied panels of different materials. The aim is to utilize the inherent strength of raw concrete, but with a decrease in installation time and overallweight.

CIMENTO È IL CEMENTO NELLA STORIAIl cemento a vista è stato reso un materiale nobile dal movimento del Beton brut o Brutalismo, sviluppato da Le Corbusier negli anni del dopoguerra. Permette una libertà totale delle forme e di modulazione del dialogo tra la materia e il pensiero.

Fino ad oggi non era possibile vivere il cemento all’interno dei luoghi in cui si vive o si lavora se non con alti costi di ristrutturazione o tramite prodotti in resina o plastica che imitano soltanto la texture del cemento.

CIMENTO IS CONCRETE IN HISTORYExposed concrete became a noble material during the movement of Beton brut or Brutalist architecture, developed by Le Corbusier in the post-war years. It allows total freedom of shapes and modulation of dialogue between matter and thought.

Until now it hasn’t been possible to utilize concrete within the workplace or home except with the attendant high costs of restructuring; or by using resin or plastic products that mimic the texture of the concrete but without its strength.

However, this is possible now, with SAI Industry’s CIMENTO.

Il cemento è plasmato nella superficie su un supporto alleggerito. I sostegni a Ypsilon che caratterizzano la collezione GIO diventano memoria di elementi strutturali architettonici. Una ricerca formale che rimanda all’architettura e al design degli anni cinquanta, al periodo di massima libertà di sperimentazione e fiducia nell’architettura brutalista.

The concrete is moulded upon a lightweight frame that allows the final product to be surprisingly “extra- light” without a loss of strength. The Y - shaped frames that characterize the GIO collection reflect the structural elements of architecture; drawing inspiration from the architectural freedom of the 1950’s. Both its experimental nature and its faith in brutalist design.

Le finiture in CIMENTO possono subire nel tempo variazioni di colore dovute alla maturazione e all’invecchiamento del cemento stesso. In caso di abbinamento tra prodotti diversi può esserci una leggera variazione tra lo stesso codice colore.

CIMENTO is a totally handmade product and each piece is unique. For this reason it may have spots, stains or streaks that are not manufacturing defect but specific product features. CIMENTO finishes may change in color with time due to the maturation and aging of the cement. In the case of coupling between different products there may be a slight variation between pieces of the same color.
