If school is cancelled or let out early due to weather, there will be NO Just For Kix classes that evening. Do Not Panic… sometimes it gets crazy but we always manage to come through. If you have a balance due on your account, your dancer’s costume may be held until the balance is paid. IF you have not ordered your costume(s), please do so immediately! If you still need to order your costume: Items need to be paid in full when the order is placed. Some items may take 8-10 weeks form order date to arrival, so please plan accordingly. Late orders cannot be guaranteed delivery prior to our Holiday Show date. If you HAVE RECEIVED your costume/shoes: Try items on RIGHT AWAY . If sizing is incorrect, please return to the studio desk as soon as possible. We can process exchanges as long as items have not been worn or damaged. Tights can only be exchanged or refunded if the packaging is UNOPENED . It may take several weeks for exchanges. Some classes have costumes that are undecided. Your instructor will let you know as soon as items have been selected. AVOID STRESS and move up your deadline on purchasing shoes, tights, etc. Many people wait until the day before the show to purchase these items and there is a chance the store or catalog could be out of sizes at that time. Dancers should come dressed in their costumes, hair done as you would like, at their regular class times and days… UNLESS otherwise specified. We Offer A No Distraction Environment Over time; we have found the most productive way to run classes is without the distraction of parents and siblings in the same room. We only have a short time each week, so every
minute is important. Occasionally we will allow spectators in for the last 5 minutes or so of class, so you can see the progress we are making. We also have a parent viewing area
outside of each studio if you wish to stay for the full class time and observe.
NEED TO KNOW
Parking: Please use the North parking lot to park and wait for dancers. The front of the building is for instructor parking; handicap and quick drop off/pick up (no parking and waiting). Thank you!
Dance Attire: Please follow the dress code that was emailed out with this newsletter. If you did not see that, the specifics can be found on our Brainerd Just For Kix website page, under News & Events or the Resources tabs.
Early Is On Time – On Time Is Late: Just For Kix Teams start on time. Put forth your best effort to come prepared, ready to dance and on time for class each week. Every dancer is needed from COUNT ONE to make a true practice or performance, effective and organized.
Attendance: Make practices and performances a priority – your class and teammates depend on you! If you are absent, meet with a friend to learn the material you missed before the next class. Please let your instructor know if you know you are going to be gone.
Supervision: Dancers are supervised during their regular scheduled class time, while in class. Although we may have several classes the same day, prior to and after your dancer’s class(es) you will need to watch your children. We want them safe. Siblings in the lobby also need to be supervised. Please no running, slamming dressing room doors, or interfering with other parents trying to view their dancer’s class.
Messes, Theft & Vandalism: We hope that you and your family find our studio to be a warm environment to hang out in. Thank you for treating it as you would a treasured possession. Please treat the space as if it was your own, with care and consideration.
We are often judged by the actions of a few; therefore, Just For Kix has a no tolerance policy for disrespecting others, their belongings or property. We recommend leaving valuables at home.
