8K ­ UHDTV Cinec 4.0 is the first video converter / encoder supporting videos with resolutions up to 8K DCI compliant (8192x4320), including Sony F65 8K and RED Epic 6K among others. It supports almost any input file with resolutions up to 8K.

UP­SCALER / DOWNCONVERTER : SD ­ 8K Cinec 4.0 features a video scaler that allows you to scale videos in almost any resolution between SD and 8K. This allow users of 1080p cameras to upconvert videos to 4K. 4K videos to 6K & 8K, ..almost all sources are compatible with Cinec, get the videos in 8K, from cameras like Panasonic GH4 or Sony A7S or Panasonic Lumix FZ1000, Sony AX100, PXW­Z100, FDR, F5 F55, FS700, AJA CION, Kinefinity, BMD 4K, etc.

Users are able to downscale videos from 3840x2160 or 4096x2160 to 1920x1080 clips, 2K ­ 1080p to 720 & SD etc ..

MAXIMUM COMPATIBILITY : ALMOST ANY FILE Cinec 4.0 supports almost any video input including Cineform, ACVHD, XAVC, XAVC­S, MXF, MOV, MTS and even RED r3d (up to Red Epic Misterium). CinemaDNG, DPX, etc ..

H.265 10­Bit and up to 8K Cinec 4.0 now includes H.265v3, the 3rd release of its H265 Encoder, with 8K, and 8 or10­Bit selectable outputs, with world best ratios. Cinec 4.0 is also a 30 ­ 40% faster than previous versions, with now Main and Main 10 Profile specifications of HEVC H265 integrated. Cinec 4.0 is the first available H265 encoder video converter up to 8K. Feature added is the ability to convert from a sequence of raw & still files to hevc h265, including DPX, TIFF, TIF, DNG and CinemaDNG to H.265

VP9 Cinec 4.0 is the first video converter to include a VP9 video encoder. VP9 codec is the google h.265 response offering similar features with some improvements and enhancents over hevc

Custom Presets Custom presets has been added to Cinec, allowing users to customize ­ tune several parameters.

Now it is possible to set a constant or variable bitrate and tune the quantizer

Overlays Includes Text or Image (logos) overlay features that allows users to put a text or logo over any video for branding, watermarking, etc..

It is possible to add any text, picture or even a animated movie or logo to overlay your videos.

LUT­S Now you can import existing LUTs to your videos or use any of the available ones. It supports 3D­LUT from DaVinci, After Effects, Iridas and more

This will allow you to provide a Cinematic color to your videos, a Broadcast TV spot tune, or virtually any look, providing that on the web out there are dozens of look­up­tables ready for use with Cinec..

CROP / SPLIT Another feature of Cinec 4.0 is the ability to crop a portion of a video. Say you can split a 4K video in 4 full HD videos portions. One example: You have 4 FHD cameras, you can record into one 4k recorder using four inputs to record the videos from the 4 cameras into 1 video of 4K, then you get that 4k video and split in 4 different FHD videos, this will allow you to use ONE 4K recorder instead of FOUR FHD recorders.

Up to 8 CPU cores Cinec 4.0 is able to take full profit of new Intel Haswell (Z87), Haswell Refresh (Intel Z97), Devil Canyon and latest Haswell E Processors (Intel x99) with up to 8 CPU cores dedicated to encoding process.

Other features Other features includes sony IMX ­ mpeg2 converter, JPEG2000 j2c import support, custom paths for temporary and output files (ideal for converting too much videos), decimal framerates (for 23.978, etc) and other enhancements.
