Item #301 — “The Slippery Slope”

In 1972, artist Jeffrey Hessing decided to dedicate [himself] to the

creation of art that celebrates the beauty around us and the magic

when I discover a new image or theme; first to see it, then to

slowly internalize it, and finally to express it in a totally organic

way, without forethought or preconception. It’s nice when an

exhibition is coherent and has a unified theme. But life isn’t like

that. My work is like a diary. It reflects my life and my experiences

at any given time."
