St. Patrick A note from Fr Chris, Thank you, once again, for your prayerful support of our mission trip this year. Below is another tes mony from one of our young adults:

MISSION TRIP REFLECTION BY DAVID DEAN (Saint Benedict the Moor Parish)

On Wednesday, we went to one of Mustard Seed’s homes, Jerusalem where we had mass together with the residents. At the end of the Mass, one of the residents started singing “This Li le Light of Mine” which is one of my favorite songs. The lyrics and the flow of the song are so joyful. Then another one of the residents prayed and sang songs for us, it moved me. The way that they were able to talk to God and give thanks even though they have a difficult situa on made me more grateful for my life. Also, when it comes to speaking in front of people, I am hesitant to step-up, whereas the residents were so eager and were so confident. It inspired me to try to step up more and be confident speaking in front of others.

Farewell to a Good Friend

This past week we said goodbye to a long me fellow friend, volunteer and former parishioner. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and worked with him. George was known by so many, and there are so many wonderful stories about George. George had endless energy and al-ways offering to help others. There are many words to describe George, honest, friendly, dependable, always highly regarded, and especially dedicated to his church. His volunteering at church spanned over decades and he served in many capaci es and pre y much every event ever held at the Church of Epiphany. George was always there to lend a hand. Boy, could George wash dish-es! George was a good and faithful person. If you knew George, you know that he touched your heart. May George Cinquegrane rest in peace.

Due to early bulletin submission, offertory totals are not available.

Join us in the Celebra on

We were blessed to have three deacon candidates from the Diocese of Pi sburgh serve with us on July 4th. As pictured from le to right, they are Mr. Bahige Alchoufete, Mr. Sco Po er, and Mr. Stephen Cafaro. In a par cular way, please meet Deacon Candidates Bahige and Steve. Both men, who are in the forma on program for the permanent diaconate, have been assigned to the Red Door ministry as part of their summer pastoral experience. Bahige and his wife have three children, and their parish home is Our Lady of Victory Maronite Church in Sco Township. Steve and his wife, Elaine, also have three children, and their parish home is St. Catherine of Sweden in Allison Park. It has been a true blessing to have both Bahige and Steve serve in the ministry this summer. Their presence and willingness to serve both the volunteers as well as our guests at the Red Door with generosity, humility, and joy has been a true inspira on. Please pray for these men as well as all of the men in the forma on program in the Diocese of Pi sburgh as they con nue to faithfully discern their call to the per-manent diaconate. God Bless Bahige, Sco and Steve...and thank you!
