CITY ORDINANCE NO. 603 September 5, 2912

AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE 4™ WEEK OF OCTOBER AS BARANGAY WEEK.

WHEREAS, a one week celebration for barangay officials and employees would help unify the 61 bat angays of Bacotod City:

WHEREAS an annual Barangay Week Celebration, aimed among others, to recognize and honor the barangay officiate and employees for their exemplary leaaersmp as public servants is an event for them to look forward to and an occasion for them to relax and enjoy a break from their usual tasks in the service of their constituents,

WHEREAS, this is a venue for the barangay officials and employees to share notes, establish and enhance their camaraderie;

WHEREAS since Bacotod City is celebrating the Masskara Festival on the second or third week of October, it is therefore deemed and proper and practical that a Barangay Week be held on the 4* week.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacotod City, in session, that:

Section 1. TITLE. This ordinance shall be known as the Barangay Week Ordinance.

Sections. CELEBRATION

This yearly event shaH be celebrated on the 4V' week of the month of October.

Section 6. FUNDING ALLOCATION

For the effective implementation of this ordinance, the City shall appropriate an annua! budget of Two Million Pesos (P2,000,000.00) to defray the expenses of this activity.

Section 7. EFFECTtVITY

This ordinance shall take effect immediately after its passage.
