• Launch of the ISBN
1972
• ALPSP formed by 24 UK based learned societies
1977
• Membership reaches 85
1981
• Publishers Licensing Society formed by ALPSP, PA and PPA
1990
• First HTTP client and server communication
1993
• ALPSP celebrates 21 years, Adobe launches PDF

• Launch of Google

• Launch of Amazon.co.uk

• Launch of Twitter and Sony eReader

• Inaugural ALPSP conference launched
