Tommy got his B.S. in Environmental Science at UC Riverside and M.S. in Environmental Science at Chapman University. With an interest in Sustainable Development and Environmental Conservation, Tommy aims to use everything learned through CivicSpark program in the research field or environmental conservation work. SJVCEO Municipal Energy Tune Up (METU) Program, funded by Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), aims to find energy efficiency projects for cities’ and/or counties’. After connecting with the city or county and performing energy benchmarking of their accounts (pumps, street lights, buildings, wells, etc.), an energy report is produced showing the top energy users in that jurisdiction. SJVCEO and a PG&E representative will take these reports to the city or county, and work with the jurisdiction to get energy efficiency projects started. CivicSpark member tasks with METU program 1. Energy benchmarking of municipalities using Energy Star Portfolio Manager benchmarking tool 2. Produce Top Energy User reports 3.
