CKSVIM wins Platinum Award in AICTE-CII survey

SMJV’s C. K. Shah Vijapurwala Institute of Management has won the ‘Platinum’ Award for been the been industry-linked management institute in a survey jointly conducted by India's premier bodies namely All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) at Indai – UK Tech Summit, New Delhi on 8th November 2016.

From Gujarat MBA Colleges, Dr. Rajesh Khajuria, Director, CKSVIM was invited to receive award at the able hands of AICTE Chairman Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Prof. Y. S. Rajan, Advisor, DST-CII, Advisor, and Secretaries of Ministry of Science and Technology as well as Ministry of IT, Government of India.

As many as 890 colleges offering 3115 disciplines across the country had participated in the survey, however, the AICTE and CII shortlisted 74 of them. CKSVIM is among the 3 Management Institutes in Gujarat to be awarded in ‘Platinum’ Category. This was the fifth such survey conducted by the premier bodies' for the educational institutes working in engineering, management, pharmacy and architecture. Self-financing, government, government-aided and centrally-funded institutes qualified for the survey.

The entire process was online where institutes were asked to fill in all the data of their curriculum, faculty, services, projects and skills development, placements of year 2014-15 and 2015-16. At the end of the survey, the application generated an indicative objective score which was used as a reference point to create a shortlist of institutes for second stage of evaluation.

The indicative objective scores obtained were placed before a high-level jury comprising experts from industry and academia. The shortlisted institutes were asked to send all the documents in support of their data. The last score was used to prepare the list of final winners.
