    Section III 16.1

    16.1 Time is the essence of this tender/contract. The bidder

    shall adhere to the project execution schedule given in the bid

    document/APO/PO. The milestones stipulated for delivery of

    supplies and services in the acceptance of the tender shall be

    deemed to be the essence of the contract and delivery must

    be completed not later than the dates specified therein.

    Extension will not be given except in exceptional

    circumstances. In the event of bidders failure to perform as

    per the milestones mentioned in the project execution

    schedule in section-IV, the bidder shall be liable to liquidated

    damages. The target dates for selected milestone shall be

    sacrosanct for the purposes reckoning liquidated damages in
