    Resource is listed on the Team: Staff sub tabIf resource is listed but no checkmark, then he/she will not be able to track on this project anymoreSwitch to Edit Mode to open/close a resource for time on the project

  • Tips & Tricks & Reminders #1 If someone on your team is having problems with timesheets, here are some things to check Task is open for time entryPhase/Activity that the task is under is open for time entry (If the Phase/Activity is closed then the tasks below it will not be seen in the timesheet even if the tasks are open)Phase is open for time entryTask is open for time entry

  • Tips & Tricks & Reminders #1 If someone on your team is having problems with timesheets, here are some things to check Filters in the Select Tasks screen are not filtering out the taskThe default is to filter on Open and Assigned tasksClick Show All if you want to see all tasks to which you have access to trackChange the Group By to Task Hierarchy if you want to see your tasks grouped by projects

  • Tips & Tricks & Reminders #2 You can open a parent project Read/Write in OWB even if you do not have rights to one or more of the childrenThe project that is marked as Read-only will allow you to still open the parent as Read/Write but any changes made to the project that is Read-only will not save back into ClarityCheck the box of the project to make Read-onlyClick the Set Read-only button

  • Tips & Tricks & Reminders #3If you have a new employee, make sure to do the followingGo to the Allocation tab to add projects to the new resource instead of going to the Team tab of every project

    Click on the Allocations tab of the Resource ProfileClick AddFind and select the projects and click Add

  • Tips & Tricks & Reminders #3If you have a new employee, make sure to do the followingIn OWB, Project Managers can easily transfer assignments from one resource to anotherThe task and the remaining ETCs will transferGo to Tools>Transfer Assignments

    Choose the resource who will no longer work on the tasks Choose the resource to receive the tasks Choose All or highlight and choose a specific task

  • Tips & Tricks & Reminders #4If your Project List page is too wide, it might help to add column wrappingClick Configure from the Actions dropdownClick Fields under the List Column Section Click on the Properties icon of the field you wish to edit

  • Tips & Tricks & Reminders #5If you would like to be able to change your filters, you can configure these by going to Configure in the Actions dropdown of the portletClick Fields under the List Filter Section Click on the Properties icon of the filter you wish to editChanging to Pull-Down is quicker than Browse and Multiple-select lets you choose more than one option in the Pull-Down
