Goal

• Downloadable program for prospective students and their relatives.

• Run around and explore Clarkson’s campus – virtually.

Technology

• Using CryEngine 3, which was used for Crysis 2 and is developed by Crytek.

• Free to use for academic purposes.

Progress

• Stitched together and applied Google Maps screenshots as a map texture.

• Imported buildings, currently without textures.

• Heightmap mostly done (changing terrain topography).

Difficulties

• Scale is very difficult to get right.• CryEngine does not come with any assets.• Will have to balance amount of assets on

screen to achieve playable framerate.• Must consider that not all high schoolers have

gaming computers.
