The Beginning

• 3500 B.C. the wheel was seen in Ancient Mesopotamia (potter’s wheel)

• 3200 B.C. the wheel was first seen used for transportation (Mesopotamian chariots)

• Before the first wheel, many rollers were required to move objects.

• This problem was overcome by the Flintstones

Further Innovations• 2000 B.C. the Egyptians

invented the first wheel with spokes.

• They did this by carving the wheels to the right shape.

• 1000 B.C. iron rims where invented by the Celtics

• The wheel is perhaps man’s greatest invention but no one really knows who invented it first.

•Most of the idea of invention comes from nature but the invention of wheel is totally human innovation.

•The first wheels were made of wood but most of now depend on metal.

•There is a very few machine that have not the concept of wheel

Mankind owes a lot to the unknown genius who invented the wheel.
