The public notice of a regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was posted in the US Post Office, Outlaw Cafe and the Community Hall on March 20, 2017. The Trustees con-vened in open and public session at the Community Hall for a regular meet-ing at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Randall Horst called the meeting to order. Representatives from the Creek Valley Public Schools; Ron Howard and Amy Jay addressed the board regarding the 1930s school building and the football field. After a short discussion regarding main-tenance costs, repairs, ADA requirements, insur-ance and other cost related to the buildings, the Village of Lodgepole would not be able to afford to acquire the buildings. The board will ask the community for input and suggestions.
Public Comments: Kuntz noted that he under-
stood the amount of money required to maintain build-ings.
D i a m o n d b a c k Engineering submitted the Preliminary Engineering Report to the board for review. A motion by Misegadis, seconded by Dishman for Diamondback Engineering to submit the PER to the Nebraska DHHS for review and approval; Runge, Dishman, Savely and Misegadis voting yes, none voting no, Bondegard absent, motion approved. Diamondback will submit the report prior to April 13, 2017.
A motion by Runge, sec-onded by Misegadis to rent two large dumpsters for use during the spring clean-up with the first dumpster to be place April 21st if available, Savely, Dishman, Runge and Misegadis vot-ing yes, none voting no, Bondegard absent, motion passed.
Discussion was held concerning the possible purchase of an ATV for use in the utility department. A motion by Misegadis, seconded by Dishman to authorize the purchase of an ATV under the price of $6000 with the under-standing that all the old electric line will be recy-cled and the fees received from the recycled wire will be put back into the fund toward the cost of the ATV, Runge, Dishman, Misegadis and Savely vot-ing yes, none voting no, Bondegard absent, motion passed.
At 7:46 PM a motion by Misegadis, seconded by Dishman to go into execu-tive session to the pur-pose of employee reviews and review of past due accounts. At 8:26 PM a motion by Misegadis, sec-onded by Dishman to come out of executive session, Runge, Savely, Dishman and Misegadis voting yes, none voting no, Bondegard absent, motion passed.
Leef will send letters to all accounts that are over 60 days past due. A motion by Misegadis, seconded by Dishman to increase hourly rates by 3% for employees Lofton, Taylor, Messing and Sherman effective May 1, 2017, Misegadis, Dishman, Savely and Runge vot-ing yes, none voting no, Bondegard absent, motion passed. Misegadis will address individual reviews
within the next two weeks.Reports were heard
from the village attorney, sewer & water department, parks, sanitation, roads, fire hall, community hall and clerk.
