Anti-Globalization• Economic disparities between

the “Have’s” & the “Have Not’s”

• NOT A NATURAL PROCESS

• Leads to a “bubble economy” – massive cash flow into developing country, (inflation = values / prices increase) then leads to depression

• Globalization has lead to the loss of unique cultural attributes of traditional societies.▫ E.g. Language

Pro-Globalization• ECONOMIC CONVERGENCE

▫ Economic prosperity will “trickle down” to the poorest nations

▫ poor countries will gradually catch up to advanced countries

• Increases productivity / opportunities of global economy

• Countries will concentrate on activities for which it is best suited.

• E.g. – Should Americans be making automobile?

Middle• Globalization is

inevitable.• Countries and people

must put themselves in the best position to benefit from this phenomena.

• International organizations and national governments must work together to ensure that this process is cohesive rather than disruptive.
