DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITIVEDISPLACEMENT DELIVERY SYSTEM

TableSD 010.5May 2006

The base sequence of the system is the following:

It should also be noted that:The indirect action metering valves deliver the lubricant to the point when the system is being decompressed.During the pressurizing stage, the metering valves accumulate an amount of lubricant which, in volume, corresponds to the amount indicated on the head of the metering screws, in order to deliver it to the machine, oncethe system is in decompression.

The direct action metering valves, on the other hand, push the lubricant to the points when the system isunder pressure; in both cases they are divided into different series, according to the number of available outlets,to their min/max flow rate, and to what kind of fitting they are designed for.

The DELTA POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT centralized lubrication system is characterized by the use of lubricantvolume metering valves, activated by a pump in 2 stages: charging and delivery. The stages take place simultaneously, when direct action metering valves are used; they are consecutive whenindirect action metering valves are used.Standard ISO 5170 provides for the following graphic representation of the system:

1. Pump with lubricant holder;2. decompressor; when the pump stops, it decompresses the system;3. main feeding line;4. 1-outlet metering valve;5. 3-outlets metering valve;6. secondary lines, connecting metering valves to points;7. lubrication points;8. decompressor’s pressure exhaust pipe;9. manostat.

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITIVEDISPLACEMENT DELIVERY SYSTEM

TableSD 010.6May 2006

3

Considering a machine having a certain number of components to lubricate, called points, each of these components, depending on its size and features, is to receive an amount of lubricant in the time unit under consideration (for instanceone hour, one day, etc.) The sum of these amounts determines the total volume of lubricant which is to be supplied bythe system.Being the system a loss lubrication system, (ie. oil is not recovered) the components of the machine should be heldunder fluid or mixed lubrication regime (coefficient of friction not exceeding 0.1); the required lubricant is to be suppliedin portioned amounts, at the highest possible frequency.

As can be seen in the diagram above, when the pump is activated, all metering valves are fed. This is lubrication timeE; the pump is pausing under C between two consecutive lubrications. A lubrication cycle’s length corresponds to D,which indicates the period of time between the pump being activated and the beginning of the new cycle (lubricationtime + pause). It should be noted that when the machine is operating, a slow transition from a fluid friction (hydrodynamic) regime to amixed friction regime takes place, which provides for deteriorating operating conditions and a consequent increase inthe coefficient of friction. As a consequence, before the situation becomes critical, the lubricant supply is to be restoredwith a new cycle. The best approach is to reduce supply instances, reducing amounts accordingly, so as to achieve the total requiredlubrication amount in the unit of time under consideration by means of several consecutive supplies. This is easy to achieve by means of a timed pump, which applies consecutive supplies with a predetermined frequency, according to the operation of the machine.

The illustration below shows a typical lubrication system scheme.

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITIVEDISPLACEMENT DELIVERY SYSTEM

TableSD 010.7May 2006

Besides the GMK series group, which is able to independently manage the system, by controlling its functions andefficiency, and reporting any failure, a set of metering valves – both direct and indirect – can also be seen, whosefunction is to proportion and deliver to the points the proper amount of lubricant. The GMK group is equipped with a pressure gauge in delivery section and with a manual control; they make it possibleto check at any time the system’s operating pressure by pushing a button to generate an additional lubrication cycle.

The indirect action metering valves pos. 2, 3, belong to the USM, US series and can be fitted withr 1 to 6 outlets, withflow rates ranging from 0.05 cm3 to 0.3 cm3, for USM types, and from 0.1 cm3 to 0,7 cm3/cycle for US series types.

Pos. 4 - DL series unilateral manifold block - clearly indicates a typical assembly for direct action metering valves, pos. 7 of SKD series, with flow rates ranging from 0.02 cm3 to 0.50 cm3/cycle and SHD types with flow rates rangingfrom 0.2 cm3 to 1.0 cm3/cycle. It’s also possible to fit both direct action metering valves, SKD/SHD series, and fittingsby means of which pipes can be connected, which are typically intended to supply metering valves placed on theSKN/SHN series lubrication point, pos. 6.On the bilateral manifold block, DB series, pos. 5, as for DL series manifold blocks, direct action metering valves canbe fitted, ie. SKD/SHD types, pos. 7.Positions 8, 9, 10, 11 indicate fittings and pipes, finishing the system; in the illustration, pos. 10 indicates the symbol ofa straight terminal fitting, while pos. 11 indicates a curved terminal fitting. Using the fittings, and by means of metal andnylon pipes or hoses (pos. 8-9), the metering valves can be connected to the machines’ lubricant points.

DISTRIBUTORS/METERING VALVESThe illustration on the right shows two kind of indirect actionmetering valves, ie. belonging to the USM and US series. These metering valves send their lubricant to the lubrication points inthe decompression phase, gradually and continuously and with alimited pressure, until all the lubricant which had been accumulatedduring the system’s pressure phase is used. This way shocks and anomalous movements of the lubricatedcomponents can be prevented.

The illustration on the left shows direct action metering valves, fitted onto a5 delivery manifold block. In the catalogue, both unilateral and bilateral standard manifold blocks areincluded, in the metering valves’ table. As opposed to the indirect action manifold blocks, these supply the lubricantin the pressure phase, with the same pressure produced by the pump – 22-28 bar – and for this reason they are able to overcome any passiveresistance which may be exercised by the lubrication points.

The DELTA POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT centralized lubrication system features a peculiaroperation. In the first stage, pressure has to reach its maximum value and supply all thedistributors in the system; in the second stage, pressure has to drop rapidly toapproximately zero. This rapid fall, triggered by a device inside the feed pump, is calleddecompression. A complete cycle is achieved only once the system, after having reached itsmaximum pressure, has properly decompressed as well. The central component generatingpressure inside the system is always a pump; connected to the pump through a set of pipes, and as close as possible to the lubrication points, are the distributors.

Page 5: CLASSIFICATION OF CENTRALIZED Table · PDF file · 2012-07-01CLASSIFICATION OF CENTRALIZED LUBRICATION SYSTEMS ISO 5170 Table S 010.1 ... GREASE OIL SIST. 011 DUAL LINE DUAL LINE

PUMPSThere are several pumps being used in this system, which can be classifiedaccording to the kind of control activating them. Manual control pumps areavailable, with tank, and flow rate of 1 cm3/shot.All these pumps are piston pumps, and have to be activated by means of a leverto carry out a complete lubrication cycle.

It is indeed very important to check that theabsorption capability of the system beingsupplied, is lower than the capacity of thepump, otherwise the system won't be able toreach its normal operating pressure, nor tooperate properly.

With several sets of electrically controlled pumps, it is possible to arrangeautomatically operating systems, with or without controls. They are equipped with a three-phase or single-phase electric engine, andtypically of a tank with different capacities, with visual level control. Anotherkind of pumps are pneumatic and oleodynamic control pumps. These built-inpumps – with or without tank – can even be used with a machine whichalready is equipped with pressurized air or oil. In such cases, direct linkagesto some components of the machine are made; these components areactivated with a frequency suiting the lubrication system, or by interposingsimple cyclic connectors. These are piston pumps, coupled with an air or oilcontrol cylinder, with simple effect, and with set and different capacities, ranging between 7 cm3/cycle and 30 cm3/cycle, available with tanks rangingfrom 1.2 to 7 litres.

CONTROL EQUIPMENTA series of electronic control and timing equipment, intended to be used with delta positive displacement system pumps, are described in the specific tables.

DISTRIBUTION NETWORKThe overall distribution network, including both the main supply lines and the secondary delivery lines, can be madewith steel, copper and nylon pipes, connected with terminal and middle fittings, joints and anchoring blocks, allowing forany kind of fitting, even the most complex ones.Fittings are typically single pipe or double pipe fittings, ensuring a stable grip for pressures up to 150 bar. Retainingslots, fittings and double pipes are manufactured according to standards DIN. 2367.

LUBRICANTSIn the delta positive displacement system both mineral oils and fluid greases can be used. The guidelines given in theproduct’s technical specifications, indicating the lubricants which can be used, should always be kept into consideration. For oils, a maximum viscosity of 1500 cSt is allowed; fluid greases need to be pumpable also at low temperatures, havea consistency between 000 and 00, corresponding to an ASTM penetration index ranging between 400 and 475according to NLGI.

DESCRIPTIONThe indirect action distributors are intermediate components of a centralized lubrication system, and are intended tometer the amount of lubricant which is to be delivered to each lubrication point. They are lubricant accumulators, following the instructions given by the pump, and carrying out partition. They are called indirect action distributors, assupply takes place once the pump stopped its delivery, and the system is decompressed. During pump’s delivery, oil isaccumulated in the metering chamber. The following tables show two different series of indirect distributors, ie. US...Vand USM...V. These types have different capacities and features, as willbe described later; yet, in all of them the regulation of the requiredamount of oil for each lubrication point is done by means of a screw, called metering screw. The capacity of the metering valves, belonging tothe series indicated above, ranges between 0.05 and 1 cm3.

FILLING PRESSURE DECOMPRESSION

Filling phase. The distributor is shown in its idle condition, before pressure triggers its operation.

The system is under pressure. Activating the pump, the pressurized lubricant reaches the main line LP. The lip valveV is pushed to the downstream seat and closes the delivery hole R. As a consequence of the pressure generated bythe pump, the lip seal deforms, the oil streams through pass F, penetrates in the metering valve and pushes piston Pupwards, compressing the spring. The stroke of the piston is limited by the metering screw SD. When all the distributors-metering valves in a system are charged, pressure settles to the maximum operating value allowed by the pump. Nowthe system carries out a rapid decompression of the general line.

The system is in decompression. The pressure of the mail line is close to zero, ie. between 0.3 and 0.5 bar. The springof the metering valves extends, and by pushing on the piston it generates a thrust which transforms into pressure forthe accumulated lubricant. The valve V, as a consequence of this pressure, moves to the seat upstream, causing theoil to return from the pump’s main line. The delivery pass F is freed, and consequently the lubricant inside thedistributors-metering valves is released, through the delivery coupling R, to the lubrication point.

LUBRICANTSMineral oils can be used, and as regards viscosity, all our distributors mentioned above are guaranteed to work with oilswith viscosity ranging between 20 and 1500 cSt. These figures represent an absolute range, which should not beexceeded, taking into consideration the various operating temperatures of a centralized lubrication system. For eachkind of oil, the viscosity diagram in relation to temperature - tab. KD 0170.5 - should be considered.

OPERATING PRESSURETypically, OPERATING PRESSURE ranges between 22 and 28 bar.

DESCRIPTION

Direct response volume metering valves are intermediate components of acentralized lubrication system, and are placed between the pump and thelubrication points, in order to meter the amount of lubricant required by eachlubrication point. They are defined as direct response volume metering valvesbecause, as will emerge from the description of their operation, they supply thelubricant, accumulated in the metering chamber, as they simultaneously receivean equal amount of lubricant from the pump feeding them. SKD, SHD, SGDseries distributors are to be installed in the system assy on aluminum blockscalled manifold blocks, able to supply from 1 to 8 metering valves, according toneed.SKN, SKS, SHN, SGN series distributors are rather intended for singleconnections, mainly placed on the area to be lubricated. SKN, SKS, SHN seriesdistributors can be equipped with 1, 2, 3, 4- ways couplings, which are intendedfor peculiar fittings.Within each distributor, different flow rates are possible, ranging from 0.02cm3 to 2.5 cm3. The unlimited combination possibilities that these meteringunits allow, provide for great flexibility in the systems.

OPERATIONFig. 1 Filling phase of the system. The distributor is shown in its idle condition.

Fig. 2 The system is under pressure. This causes the lip valve V to be pushed to itsdownstream seat, blocking the duct between metering chamber and deliverychamber, and the deforming lip allows the lubricant to flow to the metering chamberCD. This way piston P is pushed upwards, compressing the recharging spring M.The distributor is now charged of a volume corresponding to the one set for its flowrate value.

Fig. 3 The system is in decompression. This causes a pressure fall to a value close tozero, ie. between 0.3 and 0.5 bar. This allows the spring M to extend and to pushpiston P downwards. Consequently, the lubricant that accumulated in the meteringchamber CD, moves the lip valve to its seat upstream, freeing the duct pass to thedelivery chamber CM, downstream of the piston. The lubricant passes to thischamber and is ready to be supplied to the lubrication points in the next stage.

Fig. 4The system is under pressure. The lubricant pushes valve V to its seatdownstream and closes the duct between metering chamber and deliverychamber. The deformed lip allows the lubricant to flow to the metering chamberCD and push on the piston P, which is consequently pushed upwards, compressing the recharging spring M. This causes the lubricant, which hadbeen previously metered and accumulated in the delivery chamber CM, tostream through hole F, towards the lubrication point. At every succeedingpressurization, a supply-recharging of the lubricant in the distributor will takeplace.

LUBRICANTSMineral oils with viscosity between 20 and 1500 cSt. Fluid greases with penetrationindex between 400 and 475 ASTM according to NLGI, also pumpable at lowtemperatures.

OPERATING PRESSURETypically ranges between 22 and 28 bar. Even higher pressures can be arranged, up to a maximum of 50 bar.

They are dividedinto 2 groups, each of which is made up of 7 types (see table below). In the first group - SKD..P44 - the delivery fitting of the metering valve is designed for 4 mm dia. pipes, and is connectedby means of fittings RF 40 and single-pipes M 40. In the second group SKD..P66 the delivery fitting of the meteringvalve is designed for 6 mm dia. pipes, and is connected by means of fittings RF 60 and single-pipes M 60.

FLOW RATESEach group consists of 7 types, each of which has a different fixed flow rate, ranging between 0.02 and 0.50 cm3.

DESCRIPTIONThe second series of direct action metering valves – SHD – which are also intended to be fitted onto the manifold blocks, differs from the previous series because of the stem thread, M12x1 instead of M10x1, and of flow rates, which cansupply up to 1 cm• lubricant per cycle. This series is divided into 2 groups. In the first group - SHD...D44 - the deliveryfitting of the metering valve is designed for a 4 mm dia. pipe, which can be connected by means of fittings RF40 andsingle-pipes M 40. In the second group, types SHD...D66 have couplings for 6 mm dia. pipes, which can be connectedby means of fittings RF60 and single-pipes M 60.

FLOW RATESEach group consists of 4 types, each of which has a different fixed flow rate/cycle, ranging between 0.2 and 1.0 cm3.

OPERATING PRESSURETypically ranges between 22 and 28 bar. Even higherpressures can be reached, up to a maximum of 50 bar.

OPERATION

IDLEFig. 1This phase precedes the filling phase ofthe system. The distributor is in its idlecondition.

FILLINGFig. 2The filling takes place: because of thepressure being exercised, the pistonmoves downstream, closing the outlethole and, at the same time, accumulating an amount of lubricantcorresponding to the volume of itsdisplacement.

DECOMPRESSIONFig. 3The pump stops, producingdecompression in the system. As aconsequence of the thrust exercised bythe spring, the piston tends to return toits idle position. The accumulatedlubricant streams through the spiralgrooves in the outer part and flowsdownstream of the piston.

PRESSUREFig. 4The filling takes place again – see fig.2–but the lubricant inside the chamberdownstream of the piston is expelledthrough the retaining valve and is sentto the lubrication point.

DESCRIPTION

The MINIKAPPA Series distributors/metering valves areintermediate components in a decompressioncentralized positive displacement lubrication system, intended to pre-determine the amount of lubricant whichis to be supplied to each lubrication point. Together withthe SKD – SKN – SHD Series, they are called directaction metering valves, because the lubricantaccumulated in the metering chamber, is sent to the lubrication point thanks to the pressure of the pump placed in themiddle of the system. This series of distributors consists of two implementations; MKP is intended to be fitted directly onto the lubrication point, whereas MKD onto the manifold block. Flow rates in this series range between 0.03 and 0.15 cm3.

DESCRIPTION

Manual control pumps with 300 cm3 tank, designed to supply acentralized lubrication system, operating with oil and fluidgrease, employing direct action volume metering valves. It isthe minimum unit of the system. A steel body holding thepumping piston; on top of it a 0.3 lt tank, with a follower plate, suitable to facilitate the suction of the lubricant, a rectangularflange with 4 holes for wall fastening, and a control lever with athermoplastic handle. It is also equipped with a pressureindicator S and a release button R for manual decompressionof the system.

OPERATION

This type of pump works by operating the lever several times(lever shots), until an increase in resistance is noticed, andthe indicator S pops out. The decompression phase will nowtake place in the system. In this kind of pump, that phase hasto be induced manually by the user, by operating the releasebutton R.Once decompression has taken place, the button R is to be putback in place, in order to prevent lubricant from flowing back. Thesystem is now pausing, ready for another lubrication cycle.

FLOW RATEFlow rate for this kind of pumps is 1 cm3/shot.

LUBRICANTSOils with viscosity between 20 and 1500 cSt. and fluid greases, class 00-000, with penetration index between 400 and 475ASTM, also pumpable at low temperatures.

OPERATING PRESSURETypically ranges between 25 and 35 bar.

DESCRIPTIONThese units are designed to supply oil fed positive displacement centralizedlubrication systems. They are classified in two types. One is designed for suction oflubricant from an underlying tank; the other can suck lubricant from a tank placedremotely. The pump is directly coupled with an electric motor of closed type, asynchronous, three-phase 70 W, 2 polarities, or single-phase 70 W, 2 polarities. The delivery coupling is normally external – fig. 3 – except for type GRQ 80 N, wheredelivery is on the inside; in this case, a hole on the side of the machine is required.

FLOW RATEFlow rate for GRQ/GMQ Series pumps is 360 cm3/min., whereas for GRQ Series itis 500 cm3/min.

LUBRICANTSMineral oils with viscosity between 20 and 1500 cSt.

OPERATING PRESSURETypically ranges between 22 and 28 bar; may reach 50 bar in specific cases.

OPERATIONThe operating time of each lubrication cycle has tobe long enough, typically between 45 and 60sec., to stabilize the system at the maximumoperating pressure. The surplus lubricant supplied by the pump isadjusted by an overpressure valve.

1. Direct suction from an underlying tank.2. Suction from a tank placed remotely.3. Without manometer.

DESCRIPTIONThese groups are equipped with a three-phase electric engine, 70 W, andsingle-phase, 70 W, intended to supply oil fed centralized lubrication systems. The two series of pumps, with flow rates ranging between 360 and 500cm3/min, are fitted with a max. pressure valve, manometer and decompressor. All metal tanks are fitted with a level indicator, whereas thermoplastic types aresemitransparent.

OPERATIONThe operating time of each lubrication cycle needs to be long enough, typicallybetween 45 and 60 sec., to allow the system to reach maximum pressure, evenin the furthest points. The surplus lubricant is, in any case, returned to the tank. The max. pressure valve is set at 22-28 bar.Decompression, at 0.5 bar when the pump stops, is equally important, as itallows the metering valves to recharge correctly.

OPERATIONManual start execution – A SeriesA button is located on the left side of the group. The pump is activated by pushing it.The pump has to stop only when the delivery and portioning system is saturated, and maximum operating pressure hasbeen reached. The manual operation is facilitated by the use of a pressure gauge. The same results can beachieved by employing a manostat, which once set-point pressure has been reached, closes a contact and can cause alamp to light, indicating the pump stopping. The pump operating time/pause time ratio may not exceed 1:4; however, the pump may not be energized for more than4 minutes.

Automatic execution and start, B and C SeriesThese are two different series; B Series is fitted with a very simple operation equipment, whereas C Series has severalfunctions, both as regards start and control.

B SeriesThis series consists of different types with different executions – see table on the previous page; it is fitted with a dipswitch determining pause time. There are six main times: 2.5-10-20-40-80 minutes, each of which is activated by a switch. These times can be summed up. Consequently, being minimum time 2.5 min, and the total sum 157.5 min, differentcombinations are possible, determining a pause time variation at 2.5 min intervals. The pump’s operating time is 30 sec, which allows for a supply of 80 cm3 lubricant for each cycle.A push button allows for extra lubrication of the automatic cycle. A lubrication cycle is made, each time the equipment isenergized: prelubrication.Led signs for voltage group and operating pump. The minimum level sign and the pressurized system sign –manostat–have to be installed outside the group.

42

C SeriesThis series consists of 4 types, corresponding to different additional operations. The timer determining pause time caneven function as impulse-counter; consequently, the interval between two lubrication cycles can be either determinedaccording to time, adjustable between 1 and 2048 minutes, or by impulses generated by the machine, number of shots, activations, revolutions, and then sent to the equipment by means of an opening and closing contact. Operating time isregulated according to when maximum operating pressure is reached. The pump will stop when the pressure is reached, after a 15 sec safety overtime. In case this signal is not emitted after 40 sec since the lubrication cycle started, an alarm is activated, and a red led startsto flash. The signal can be used remotely, by means of an exchange contact on terminals 8-9-10, to produce a remoteaudible/visual alarm, or to stop a machine that is not properly lubricated. The led signs regard: energized group, operating pump, level alarm, pressure alarm. You can choose between time or impulse mode, by short-circuiting between terminals 4 and 5 (two different leds on thediagram). The group, terminals 6-7, is fitted with a machine contact, which can be used to sum the machine’s actualoperating times, to determine pause times. The diagram below shows the functions described above.

DESCRIPTIONThe GRM series is an electrohydraulic group, designed to program, supply andcontrol a centralized lubrication system. It is intended to perform cyclic lubrications at pre-determined time. It consists of amotorpump, placed on a 2 lt or 2.7 lt tank, and of an electronic equipment. Thepump’s operating time can be adjusted between 0 and 60 sec. The surpluslubricant supplied by the pump, returns to the tank through the max pressure valve.A manostat checks whether this level has been reached, and if this is not the case,it lights the red warning led.By pushing the manual buttoncontrol, the extra automatic cyclepump can be activated. Eachtime the group is energized, apre-lubrication is performed. Thefrequency of the interventionshas to be set, by operating aseries of triggers inside theequipment.

GQG Series

DESCRIPTIONThese electrically controlled groups are intended to supply a fluid grease fedpositive displacement system, typically employing SK, SH Series direct actiondistributors/volume metering valves. They are equipped with a 70 W, 4 polarities, three-phase engine, coupled with ageared pump with 180 cm3/min flow range. Each group has a maximum pressurevalve, inside the flange of the electric motor, typically set on 30-35 bar, and adecompression device.Transparent polycarbonate tanks, with 3 and 6 lt capacity, with or withoutelectromagnetic minimum level indicator. On each group a pressure gauge isfitted, to read the system's pressure directly.

OPERATIONThis group is intended to supply a centralized lubrication system; it has to beconnected to the pipes, connecting - through the distributors/metering valves -the deliveries to the lubrication points on the machine.Operating time has to be long enough to bring the system to maximum pressure, also in the furthest points. The surplus lubricant supplied by the pump is, in anycase, shortcircuited from the overpressure valve to the tank. A control manostaton the main line, can indicate failures due to insufficient pressure. Evendecompression, or release, which is required for the metering valves torecharge, is very important and needs to be checked in the furthest points, whilethe machine is operating, where pressure has to decrease correctly to a valueclose to zero.

FLOW RATEThe pump's flow rate is typically 180 cm3/min

LUBRICANTSFluid greases also pumpable at low temperature, with ASTM penetration index between 430 and 475, NLGI 00-000.

OPERATING PRESSUREOperating pressure is typically set at 30-35 bar

I nUNICONTROL, an operating phase is followed by a pause. Pause can be set either according to time, or to the numberof events which have to be transmitted properly to the control unit. In this latter case, a time span can be set, within whichall expected events have to be transmitted, otherwise the device will stop to function, and will enter alarm mode.

Thanks to the CM function – machine contact – the lubrication cycle can be carried on or stopped, according to the actualoperation of the machine.

The control unit manages the lubrication cycle, and makes it possible to check that the system is operating properly, andin case a failure is detected, it generates an alarm by means of a relay switch.

The device controls also the lubricant level in the tank, and when low level is reached, a message on the LCD monitorindicates that lubricant needs to be topped up. A relay switch allows the low lubricant level signal to be sent remotely. Iflubricant is not topped up, before air starts to flow in the circuit, UNICONTROL will stop to function, and will enter alarmmode.

UNICONTROL is easily programmable, and can be used in conjunction with both electrically controlled pumps andpneumatically controlled pumps, by means of a solenoid valve.

The controlled unit can be easily programmed by means of the 4-keys keyboard and the LCD monitor; the LCD monitorcan also show two important features of the system:

DESCRIPTION

UNICONTROL has been developed to manageand monitor a lubrication system, allowingautonomous systems, ie. independent from thecontrol unit of the machine which has to belubricated. This device is able to controlproportional lubrication, positive displacementlubrication and single line progressive systems; itcan also manage small double line systems withoverpressure reverser.

Thanks to its LCD monitor - two lines with 16characters each - and to a membrane keyboard, itis easy to program all parameters required by thesystem. By setting a password, accidental accesscan be prevented, and data protection can beachieved.

1) UNICONTROL’s “lifetime”, ie. how long it has been regularlyenergized, and has had operating and pause phases, includingoff-time;

2) the total time under which the system has been out offunction (alarm mode)
