The Interventional Section provides radiologic services at Jackson Memorial Medical Center and Veterans Administration Medical Cen- ter. About 3,000 exams per year are per- formed by this section. DHMC is the major teaching component of Dartmouth Medi- cal School and is situated in a classic Northern New England town. Training includes all aspects of diagnostic angiog- raphy (including Neuro and Pulmonary), vascular and non-vascular interventional techniques. This includes IVC filter placement, atheroectomy, thrombolysis, biliary and urologic interventions as well as biopsy and drainage procedures using multiple imaging modalities. We have a close working relationship with the de- partments of Vascular and General Sur- gery. Approximately 2,000 diagnostic and interventional procedures are performed per year. The department will be moving to a new tertiary care 429 bed hospital in Fall/9l, equipped with two new state of the art digital interventional suites and a four bed recovery room. Candidates must have completed an accredited diagnostic radiology residency program and be cer- tified or eligible by the A.B.R. and must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Hampshire.
