Scholarships for agriculture students

American Farm Publications will be awarding five $1,500 scholarships

The scholarships are available to current high school seniors or college students who are studying for a career in agriculture and have maintained a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.5 or higher at the student’s current

learning institution. To apply, complete and postmark this form by Friday, March 15, 2019 with a current transcript and an original essay limited to 500 words

discussing your decision to pursue an agricultural career. The scholarships are available to residents of Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and

New Jersey. Winners from 2018 are ineligible to receive a scholarship in 2019.Of the five students selected as 2019 scholarship winners, one will also receive an additional $1,500 award from Bruce Hotchkiss, founding editor of The Delmarva

Farmer, from proceeds of the “Honoring a Legend” newspaper supplement published in March 2018.
