Domestic On Thursday, December 17, 2020 at approximately 7:48 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a 911 call reporting a verbal domestic occurring within the city of Wendell. A deputy responded and spoke with complainant who advised the other individual had already left. A deputy made contact with other involved party.

Domestic On Thursday, December 17, 2020 at approximately 12:12 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a report of a verbal domestic occurring in Pelican Lake Township. While en route, depu-ties were advised that the other involved party had left the residence. Deputies responded and spoke with complainant and advised. A deputy attempted contact with other involved party.

Public Assist On Thursday, December 17, 2020 at approximately 4:20 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a call from a resi-dent of Elbow Lake after being referred to our offi ce from West Central Minnesota Communities Action for assistance with a heater. A deputy delivered a heater to the party.

Domestic On Thursday, December 17, 2020 at approximately 9:59 p.m., a resident of Hoffman contacted the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce and reported that he and his wife had gotten into a verbal argument and he had been kicked out of the house. The reporter was asking that a deputy come and talk to him. Deputies did respond and talked to the reporter. While talking to the reporter the wife agreed to let the reporter back in the house. The reporter assured the deputies that if things started to escalate again, he would leave the house and call us again.

Suspicious On Friday, December 18, 2020 at 9:43 a.m., a resident in Pelican Lake township reported to the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce that a suspicious vehicle he did not recognize had pulled down his driveway and up next to his residence, then left. A deputy spoke with the individual and retrieved pictures of the suspicious vehicle, which we will keep as information in case we have any further issues with this vehicle.

Harassment On Friday, December 18, 2020, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a parent came to the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce to report that their teenage child had been harassed on social media by another child of the same age. A deputy spoke with the parents of both parties who all agreed that there would be no more communication between the two kids.

Theft On Friday, December 18, 2020 at 3:17 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s offi ce received a report of a theft of gas from a business in the City of Herman that had occurred eight days prior. A deputy spoke with the reporting party and obtained video footage of the theft. This incident is under further investigation.

Domestic On Friday, December 18, 2020 at 3:33 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a 911 of a verbal domestic in the city of Hoffman. Deputies responded and a conclusion was reached for the parties for the evening.

Motorists Assist On Friday, December 18, 2020 at 11:16 p.m., a deputy on patrol in the city of Elbow Lake stopped to check on a vehicle that had its hazards on. It was learned that they had run out of gas, the driver had walked up to the gas station to get more gas and would be returning shortly. The deputy provided lights until they were able to get back up and running.

Ambulance On Friday, December 19, 2020 at 1:04 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a call from a male indicating that he was having a diabetic reaction, and was lost in a fi eld outside of Hoffman. Deputies along with Hoffman Fire Department, Hoffman First Responders,

Public Assist On Saturday, December 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce attempted to conduct a welfare check at a residence in the City of Elbow Lake. A deputy made several attempts to contact this individual over the course of two days, but was unable to contact anyone.

Ambulance On Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 12:13 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce assisted Elbow Lake fi rst responders alongside Prairie Ridge ambulance with a possible overdose in the City of Elbow Lake.

Public Assist On Friday, December 19, 2020 at 5:00 p.m., deputies provided traffi c control for a parade in Elbow Lake.

Harassment On Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 5:19 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a call that the caller’s kids were being threatened and they wished to speak with a deputy in the city of Elbow Lake. A deputy responded and spoke with caller. The deputy then spoke with the parties we could reach and made a report of the incident. Advice was offered to the caller.

Suspicious On Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 6:16 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a report of a suspicious vehicle at a business in Sanford Township. A deputy spoke with the driver of the vehicle and learned they were taking a break from driving.

Suspicious On Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 7:25 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a report of a suspicious vehicle pulling in and out of driveways in Erdahl Township. A deputy located the vehicle, spoke with driver, and learned that they were delivering newspapers.

Suspicious On Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 9:24 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a call from a resident of Norcross reporting that their vehicle had been on fi re and that it looked suspicious to them. A deputy went to the scene, documented the damage and found that it was more than likely an electrical problem that had started the fi re.

Burglary On Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:44 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce was called for a possible burglary in the city of Elbow Lake. Deputies responded to the area, investigated the scene, and concluded that a burglary had not taken place.

Public Assist On Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 8:37 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a request that an electric heater be delivered to an individual in the City of Barrett due to his furnace not working properly. A deputy delivered the heater and the individual will have his furnace looked at tomorrow.

Criminal Damage To Property On Sunday, December 20, 2020 at approximately 12:52 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a call of damaged property in Erdahl Township. A deputy responded and obtained information. Upon receiving information, it was learned that the incident occurred in Douglas County. The incident was referred to the proper agency.

Agency Assist On Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 1:06 p.m., a deputy assisted Herman fi rst responders and Wheaton ambulance with an overdose in the City of Norcross.

Public Assist On Monday, December 21, 2020 at 2:48 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a report of an open door on a build-ing in the City of Herman. Deputies responded, cleared the building, and determined the door had been blown open by the wind.

Agency Assist On Monday, December 21, 2020 at 3:16 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a request for emergency lighting for a tow on Highway 55 in Elk Lake Township. The vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Suspicious On Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:24 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a report of a person pulling something suspicious across Flekkefjord Lake near Elbow Lake. A deputy responded and found that it was an angler pulling their gear with a black sled.

All Other On Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:29 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a complaint of illegal dumping of trash occurring within the city of Hoffman. A deputy responded and investigated matter. Citation was issued to individual for illegal dumping.

Motorists Assist On Monday, December 21, 2020 at 12:17 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a call requesting assistance in unlocking a motor vehicle with the keys in it. A deputy responded and was able to open the vehicle

Suspicious On Monday, December 21, 2020 at approximately 3:19 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a report of an intoxicated/under the infl uence male driving with small children within the city of Ashby. Deputies’ responded, as well as other agencies were notifi ed. Deputies were unable to locate such vehicle.

Public Assist On Monday, December 21, 2020 at approximately 4:45 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a request for a welfare check on an individual’s residence in Elbow Lake. A deputy did make contact on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Individuals appeared to be well.

Public Assist On Monday, December 21, 2020 at approximately 6:03 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a report of a vacant house in Elbow Lake that had an open door. A deputy responded and found the front door to the house standing open. The deputy searched the inside of the house and everything appeared to be fi ne. The deputy did secure the front door once the house had been searched.

Suspicious On Monday, December 21, 2020 at approximately 7:46 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a report of illegal burning in Elbow Lake. A deputy responded to the location of the fi re and found the materials burning to be appropriate.

Public Assist On Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at approximately 7:21 hours, a deputy observed suspicious activity occurring within the city of Elbow Lake. The deputy spoke with owner of vehicle.

Accident On Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at approximately 7:38 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a report of a motor vehicle vs deer accident in Elbow Lake Township. A deputy spoke with complainant.

Public Assist On Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at approximately 10:50 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a request for a funeral escort in the city of Ashby. Deputies assisted.

Public Assist On Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at approximately 3:19 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a request to check welfare of a resident of the City of Elbow Lake. A deputy responded and made contact. All was ok.

Theft On Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at approximately 3:32 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle in Hoffman. A deputy spoke with the owner.
