A regular meeting of the Board of Edu-cation of Independent School District465, Litchfield, Minnesota was called toorder by Board Chair Helstrom at theMeeker County Family Services Build-ing, Room 200, at 7:00 p.m. on Mon-day, April 9, 2012. Board memberspresent: Donna McGraw, Stacey Hel-strom, Karla Rick, Jim Ellingson, andBrian Park. Board members absent:Dan Dollerschell. Also present wereSuperintendent William Wold, BusinessManager Bill Menozzi, Aaron Imholterepresenting KLFD, and Jenny Bergrepresenting the Independent Review.
II. Consent Agenda:
A. Motion was made by Park and sec-onded by Rick to approve the ConsentAgenda including the minutes of theregular meeting of March 26, 2012. Mo-tion unanimously carried.
III. Reports tot the Board:
A. Community Education Director BobLawrence provided an update of theCommunity Education activities pro-gram.
IV. New Business:
A. The School Board acknowledged a
tentative agreement with the LitchfieldEducation Association.
B. Superintendent Wold provided a rec-ommendation for the K-12 building ad-ministration structure for 2012-13 to in-clude the reinstatement of the separatehigh school principal position. Motionwas made by McGraw and secondedby Ellingson to approve the recommen-dation. Motion unanimously carried.
C. Personnel Resignations and Recom-mendations:Motion was made by Ellingson and sec-onded by Rick to accept a resignationfor retirement from, Joyce Nielsen, LakeRipley Elementary first grade teacher,effective at the end of the 2011-12school year and,
a resignation for retirement from BrendaRueckert, Lake Ripley Elementary spe-cial education teacher, effective at theend of the 2011-12 school year, and
to acknowledge David Holle and TylerStorm as volunteers for boys and girlstrack. Motion unanimously carried.
V. Board Member Topics:
A. Board member McGraw reported onthe recent MAWSECO monthly meet-ing.
VI. Adjournment:
Motion was made by Ellingson and sec-onded by McGraw to adjourn the meet-ing at 7:48 p.m. Motion unanimouslycarried.
