We will begin the month with a Gingerbread Unit and continue to read old and new holiday stories throughout the rest of the month. The stories will be used to discuss the characters and setting in a story and aid in retelling and comprehending what has been read. We will also focus on the vowels /a/ and /o/. Writing The children have finished all their letters and we will continue practicing our letter formation. We will also be working on having the children write their names with capital letters at the beginning only. The holiday activities we have planned will help to reinforce their fine motor skills. Math This month we will continue learning our numbers and will be working on the numbers four and five. We will also be revisiting shapes, patterns and graphing through some fun holiday math activities.
