This position will be responsible for supporting site Accounting and Supervision of various Accounting positions to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal accounting processes, policies and procedures. Reporting to the Accounting Manager the incumbent will be accountable for accurate and efficient processing of financial information, performing reconciliations and closing financial records in a timely and efficient manner. In addition, this position is responsible for supporting business performance management processes including preparation of budget plans, analyzing and reporting on business performance. This position will also ensure compliance with all State, Federal and local payroll regulations. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. • Lead by example, in all CC&V safety processes, ensuring safe work practices in all tasks. • Manage and ensure strict compliance and ethical behavior with state and federal regulations in all aspects of accounting and financial processes. • Exhibits utmost adherence to confidential information, financials, salaries and other employee related information. • Provides Leadership and Supervision to other accounting functions. • Monitor and manage the general ledger and relevant sub ledgers through ensuring the accurate and complete processing of transactions. • Perform accurate and timely month end accounting close activities ensur- ing required financial and accounting outputs are produced. • Review fixed asset management functions to ensure accurate, valid and complete processing of fixed asset and capital assets. • Perform specific revenue management processes to initiate sales trans- actions for Corporate. • Ensure SOX compliance by implementing, monitoring and identifying ad- ditional control improvements. • Manage and support the Purchase Card (P-Card) and virtual storage sys- tems. • As SAP Steward, approve, create, change and monitor key statistical fig- ures for finance and controlling at the CC&V mine as well as back-up Cor- porate. • Prepare various reports as needed and required for site, accounting de- partment and Corporate. • Must be efficient in the use of Excel, Outlook and Word with experience in SAP and Essbase preferred. • Must be able to work 40 + hours a week as well as weekend or off hours work as the business dictates. EDUCATION AND TRAINING • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree. • Solid understanding of accounting regulations with both state and federal agencies to include GAAP, accounts payable, SOX controls, IRS guidelines and other required regulations. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS • Must have 5 years experience in Accounting and Finance. • Two or more years Supervisory experience. • Solid Leadership skills to include conflict resolution and employee ment- oring. • Basic knowledge of SAP accounting processes preferred. • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers is imperative. • Experience in preparation of business performance management (budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and management reporting) • Strong interpersonal skills and dealing professionally with all levels of employees required. This position will be responsible for maintenance and repair of electrical systems mine wide: including facilities, shops and offices. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Performing electrical maintenance on facilities i.e. replacing light bulbs, electrical component troubleshooting and repair to include GFCI and change out, and other mechanical/electrical repairs as assigned. • Installation of new construction performed as required. • Train mechanics on electrical safety and other items as required. Direct work of assigned helpers as required. • Examine tools and equipment for safe operation. • Operate designated vehicles for travel throughout the mine site. • Strong interpersonal skills and dealing professionally with all levels of employees required To perform all job duties in a safe and professional manner. Possess the ability to prioritise assigned jobs and to coordinate jobs with other person- nel. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Candidate must be able to operate a variety of tools to include hand tools, electrical switches and electronic troubleshooting tools and others. Suc- cessful candidate must be able to operate the equipment being worked on for troubleshooting and movement in and out of shop. Must have ad- equate hand and electrical tools to be able to perform his/her job and to maintain cleanliness of work area. EDUCATION AND TRAINING Electrical experience necessary with 2+ years mining experience pre- ferred. Should be familiar with 3-phase, 480-volt motor circuitry and basic trouble-shooting techniques. Must be able to follow blueprints, sketches, diagrams and manuals for installation and troubleshooting circuitry. Must possess a working knowledge of MSHA laws, particularly those pertain- ing to electrical installation and maintenance. Knowledge of the National Electric Code is desired.
